IKEA LIVE LAGOM PROJECT APPLICATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By submitting an application to the IKEA Live LAGOM Project, you will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.

Your application will enter you into the chance to become a participant in the Live LAGOM Project that will run from November 2017 until August 2018.  The aim of the Project is to support you to live a more sustainable and healthier life through in-store workshops, social media engagement and IKEA products.

1. THE PROMOTER
1.1 The promoter is: IKEA Ireland Limited of 2 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland.


2. HOW TO APPLY
2.1 Applications will be accepted from Wednesday 13th September (the “Opening Date”) to Tuesday 26th October (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
2.2 All applications must be received by the Promoter by no later than 12pm on the Closing Date. All applications received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
2.3 To apply for the IKEA Live LAGOM Project, you should complete the Live LAGOM application form, available at https://livelagom.homeofikea.com/?form=live-lagom-survey-2017
2.4 No purchase necessary, however a valid IKEA FAMILY membership and internet access is required.
2.5 The Promoter will not accept:
(a) responsibility for applications that are lost, damaged or delayed regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) proof of transmission as proof of receipt of any application.
2.6 Each successful applicant will be selected by an independent judge, based on their application and locality to the IKEA Dublin store. The decision of the judge (acting reasonably) will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
2.7 The name of the judge can be obtained by sending a request to: Live LAGOM, IKEA Ltd, 255 North Circular Road, London, UK, NW10 0JQ from the Closing Date for a period of 14 days.
2.8 Successful applications will be held on file for a minimum period 3 years and unsuccessful applications will be recorded for a maximum period of 2 months to be used in the event any spaces become available on the Live LAGOM Project. 

3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1 Applications are only open to IKEA FAMILY members (with an active IKEA FAMILY account) resident in the UK and aged 18 years or over, except:
(a) Employees of the Promoter;
(b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
(c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
3.2 In applying, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to take part in the Live LAGOM Project. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to do so.
3.3 The Promoter will not accept applications that are:
(a) Automatically generated by computer;
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
(d) photocopies and not originals; or
(e) incomplete.
3.4 Applications on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
3.5 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the IKEA Live LAGOM Project.
 

4. THE DECISION MAKING PROCESS
4.1 The decision making process shall be conducted by the Promotor in accordance with its partner organisations to select successful applicants will take into account the chosen focus and statement of the application. 
4.2 There will be a maximum of 9 successful applicants from the IKEA Dublin store.

5. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
5.1 Successful applicants will be contacted via email on 26th October 2017 (“Announcement Date”).
5.2 The Promoter will send the name and county of the winners to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the competition requesting details of the winner and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to: Live LAGOM IKEA Ltd, 255 North Circular Road, London, UK, NW10 0JQ.
 

6. SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
6.1 If you are a successful applicant, you will have 7 days from the Announcement Date to confirm your participation in the IKEA Live LAGOM Project by responding to the email and confirming your acceptance of these IKEA Live LAGOM Project terms and conditions. If you do not respond within 7 days of the Announcement Date, your application will become invalid.
6.2 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the successful applicants. If the successful applicants cannot be contacted or are not available, or have not accepted their position within 7 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the place to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
6.3 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to participate in the Project.
6.4 Successful applicants must be able to attend the induction date in the Dublin store.

7. PARTICIPATION IN THE PROJECT
7.1 The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude successful applicants from participation in the Project if they fail to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Project or the successful applicant acts in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others.
7.2 There is no cash alternative for participation in the Project. Any IKEA goods provided to applications as part of participation in the Project shall be provided at the sole discretion of the Promoter and shall not be exchangeable for cash.
 

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
As far as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the participant or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of participating in the Project except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

9. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
9.1 You agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the successful applicants and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
9.2 By applying to the IKEA Live LAGOM Project, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the application may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition.
 

10. OWNERSHIP OF APPLICATIONS ENTRIES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
The Promoter does not claim any rights of ownership in your competition entry. Copyright will remain with you.

11. GENERAL
11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the application process or IKEA Live LAGOM Project.
11.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the IKEA Live LAGOM Project where it becomes necessary to do so.
11.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by Irish law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
