The pamper space that’s also a fun kids’ bathroom

15 April 2014
The family bathroom can be a parent’s sanctuary. A space to retreat to after a long day for a well-earned soak or a quick pamper pick-me-up. And hiding somewhere within all this cool, calm harmony? All the ingredients for a splashing good bath night for the kids.
Crisp white furnishings and shades of aqua blue give the feeling of a soothing spa in this bathroom. Add flowers, candles and a good book and you’ve got the perfect setup for some serious mummy me-time. But what happens when the children take over? Take a look at this video to see.

The key to this bathroom’s easy transformations is plenty of closed storage.

With the side table moved out of the way, there’s plenty of room for some bath night fun with the kids. Out come the toys from their hiding place and in goes an anti-slip bath mat.
When it comes to creating a relaxing space, clutter is just no good. Keep things out of sight and you’ll be halfway to chilled out already.
A tall cabinet provides plenty of room for bath things, lotions and towels. And a mirror cabinet is good for storing those things you use at the sink.
