Home visit: a bedroom organised for calm
Make space for you by turning your bedroom into somewhere to restore a sense of order and harmony.

Find new ways to zone your space. In this bedroom, an open clothes rail works as a dressing area and a ‘living screen’ of plants, creating cosiness and privacy while bringing a sense of nature indoors. Instead of a bedside table, owner Dagmara chose a bedside bench. “That way I can use it to store more of my favourite books and magazines as well as have somewhere to put my shoes on in the morning. Storage doesn’t always have to look like storage.” Textiles, furniture, rugs and accessories in natural materials and colours feel good to the touch and create visual harmony.
Add practical and feel-good details high and low. A single wooden hanger on a hook can be a feature in itself, as well as somewhere to hang your outfit ready for the next morning, while baskets in natural materials are great for laundry or accessories. “Think about small items that can make everyday routines a bit easier as well as being nice to look at,” says Dagmara.
“I’m not an interior designer by training but boosting wellbeing at home has always been a passion of mine,” says Dagmara. “Thoughtful organisation, plus bringing nature indoors with plants and natural materials are my top tips for turning your bedroom into a space that makes you feel good morning and evening.”
