Can I buy items online?

Why are there products on the website that I cannot buy online?

The majority of the IKEA furniture range is available at Shop Online along with an increasing selection of our home accessories range. We are planning to increase the ranges available in future. We show as many items as possible online as you may wish to visit one of our stores for the item, and it will enable you to have the product details to hand before you visit. Items available to purchase online display the "available online" option.


Are your prices online the same as in store?

Shop Online product prices will normally be the same as in store prices. However, occasionally promotions will mean some prices can differ.


What if I change my mind after ordering online?

It’s fine to change your mind. You are able to cancel or amend an order by contacting us. If you’ve already had delivery and you’ve changed your mind, simply take to a store, or if this is not possible, speak to a co-worker about arranging a collection.* Full details can be found in the Returns Policy.

Are my personal details given to third parties?

We sometimes employ third parties to provide services on behalf of IKEA. More information can be found in our Privacy Policy here.


Can I cancel an order I placed online?

If you have changed your mind and wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. If your order has already been dispatched from the warehouse, we may not be able to cancel it. Dispatch time depends on your delivery method.

Shipping Method: Parcelforce

In most cases your order will be processed and dispatched immediately after it is placed, therefore we recommend that you contact us as soon as you can to cancel it. If your order has already been dispatched from the warehouse, please refuse it on receipt or view our Return Policy more information. 

Shipping Method: Truck delivery

Your order will be dispatched around 48 hours prior to the delivery date, we will not be able to cancel your order passed that time. Please inform the delivery crew about your change of mind during the pre-call on the delivery date. Alternatively, please refuse the item/order when the delivery arrives. We will refund you with the full amount that you have paid including the delivery charge* within 14 days from receiving the goods back.

IKEA complies fully with the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

*Delivery charge will be refunded only when the total order is cancelled.


Can I add to or change an existing order?

If you need to make a change to an existing order, please contact us as soon as possible. Once your order has been confirmed any changes may delay your delivery date. To add to an order placed in store, you would need to return to store.


Can I order online and pick up from a store?

All our online products are delivered directly from our distribution centre to your home. It is not possible to collect online purchases from a store, IKEA do not offer a product reservation service in our stores. Currently our online orders are only able to be delivered directly from our distribution centre to your home or delivery address, however we are trialling a new format store along with a click and collect service and the intention will be to roll out a click and collect service to all our stores in the future. In the meantime keep a look out for news about our Order and Collection points.


Can I add assembly to my order?

It is not possible to add assembly to your online order. Please visit your nearest store to arrange assembly or contact us for more information. Additional details can be found on our services page..


Where does IKEA Shop Online deliver to?

At the moment we deliver to mainland Ireland. If you want to take your order abroad we are happy to deliver to your shipping agent for onward transfer. Please ensure this is pre-arranged with the shipping agent.
