Reviews

It should be sold as a brain teaserVerified ReviewerI was very challenged by this little device as fitting the batteries took me some time - first to realise I needed some help, then looking for a manual which this little thing does not have and lastly reading other comments - that was very entertaining and useful as I found a link to youtube video. It is now successfully working but having built many pieces of IKEA furniture this has been the most challenging assembly ever.4
good productVerified Reviewergenerally work well but at this price do find an occassional one has a wobbly shaft.4
Great but FlawedVerified ReviewerSmashing little whisk, which is really easy to use. Problems arise when trying to insert new batteries as the battery compartment lid has to be removed in order to insert two AA batteries and trying to get the lid back on is a nightmare. Eventually got it back on but please Ikea, make the battery compartment lid a bit simpler to use.4
Brilliant gadgetVerified ReviewerA must in every kitchen, you can also throth cold milk as well as warm, to make lovely hot chocolate drinks, to latte and cappuccinos without the fuss of a coffee machine. I had to buy another as I accidentally dropped one in the washing-up bowl, still works after I dried it out.5
Wow….just don’tVerified ReviewerI’ve a degree in Math and a degree in Engineering and I can’t figure out how to get the batteries in this absolute bag of bobbins! Don’t waste your cash.1
Waste of timeVerified ReviewerStruggled for 10mins to get the batteries in, the lid fell off and I decided my time was worth more than the frother and abandoned it.1
Brilliant little gadhetVerified ReviewerBrilliant little gadhet5
Whizz up your Matcha TeaVerified ReviewerBought this whizzer on my son's recommendation so I could froth up my Matcha Tea which he had treated me to. Its fab, absolute success. Does what you need, quite remarkable for something so neat and small. It's so cheap in cost but not cheap on performance.5
Easy to use, and doesVerified ReviewerEasy to use, and does the job.5
Great, once it works.Verified ReviewerThis is a great example of getting what you pay for. All the other reviews are correct - getting the batteries into this feels like an assault on your intelligence, it is so poorly designed. Do like the others mention, and take a trip to YouTube to save a few grey hairs. Once installed, it's a good product. My first unfortunately broke after dropping it and it landed on the lid, with it breaking in two. No problem to buy a new one of course once I popped in store, but yes...I gained another 10 grey hairs at least from a second battery installation. Would love to see them re-think the design of this, even if it made it a £1 more expensive or whatever. I'd hope a re-do might also make it more durable overall.3
ExcellentVerified ReviewerExcellent5
Batteries very hard to insertVerified ReviewerI had to watch a YouTube to figure out how to insert the batteries. Infuriatingly difficult with the lid design. Video has 1000s of views and was from comments to the creator that it was requested. Really should not be this hard to insert. Works fine once I got it but hardly worth the effort. I get it's cheap which is great but my goodnesss1
Oh dear!Verified ReviewerAre your product QA people asleep? I bought this without looking at the reviews beforehand. I had to return to the website because I couldn't work out how to put the batteries in. So having read all the comments I was confident that I could outwit the device, being forewarned about its ridiculous battery arrangements. Needless to say I will not be replacing it once it inevitably breaks. However, once you have struggled with it for twenty minutes and suffered various injuries to your fingers it does work rather well.1
Happy with my purchaseVerified ReviewerHappy with my purchase5
Good, but the batteries are indeed a painVerified ReviewerAgreed with all the other users - once the batteries are in, it's all fine. It's a good, powerful little whisk - especially at such a low cost! But my goodness, inserting the batteries into this thing... I really thought it was a complete dud, and then by luck managed to squeeze the second battery in, in just the right way to make it work. Otherwise, it's a great product.4
Not goodVerified ReviewerDifficult to get the batteries in with the lid, and the lid came right off. Very disappointing!1
Excellent FrotherVerified ReviewerI bought this item some time ago and I am so impressed that I picked up another recently for a friend. Amazing value5
Terrible designVerified ReviewerI had to prise the product apart to fit the batteries. Fortunately i managed to do this without breaking the battery compartment. Let's hope it works.1
WHISK AWAYVerified ReviewerHot 🥵 chocolate 🍫 or Toddy 🤔 Whisky🤣5
Handy little frotherVerified ReviewerReally good for frothing coffee or milk, very easy to clean under the tap.5
PRODUKT Milk-frother, black

A better everyday one cup at a time

Have you had coffee or tea today? Statistically, you most likely have. In fact, these hot brews are the most consumed beverages in the world next after water. They’re a part of life that can give a silver lining to any moment. That’s why we decided to update our selection of products to make that perfect cup – from the tea infuser and the kettle to the milk frother.

Malin Ljungström, who was involved in developing the range, shares her insights. “To many, the smell of coffee and tea means well-being and a homey feeling. Since we want to improve people’s everyday, we’re offering products that make it possible for more to experience more feelgood moments at home.”

Developing things that make a difference

Malin and her colleagues dug deep into coffee and tea cultures to find out what tools people feel they can’t live without. They talked to specialists and investigated living, eating and drinking habits. “We wanted to develop items that make a difference, so we’ve focused on a few, but carefully selected products,” she states. The team cooperated with IKEA Test Lab in Älmhult, Sweden. It’s an IKEA version of a James Bond lab where prototypes are inspected and evaluated. “A couple of the things we checked were that the thermoses can keep fluids really warm for a long time. And that the glass mugs and glass pots are durable and comfortable, even though they look and feel light and airy,” says Malin.

For all tastes and different wallets

No matter how you enjoy your cup, you’ll find the things that put an extra flavour to your drink in the range. Another good thing is that there’s something for all wallets. “It’s one of our contributions to a better life at home. A way to improve people’s everyday one cup at a time,” concludes Malin.
