Unlike the poor scuffed finish of the other smooth black furniture we purchased on same delivery order (brimnes) the tables have faultless finish. Very sturdy. The larger table is larger than it looks online. IKEA do give you all the dimensions so check this info and how it will fit in your space before you purchase. Happy with purchase.5

Not durable!Anonymous reviewerReally wanted to love these tables as they have been so useful especially the height on the larger table to use my laptop whilst at the sofa.. however after only a few months of use the paint is chipping off exposing the beige mdf underneath and because it’s a black table it’s so obvious and looks terrible!! The table was also rocking slightly after we assembled it initially, that was a minor flaw but now with the paint chipping too I’m wondering whether the table was faulty as the smaller one has been completely fine. Disappointed as they were not cheap and I can’t even buy another larger one separately :( !!2
Better than expectedAnonymous reviewerWe were struggling to find 2 matching coffee tables for reasonable price. Originally thought these were a little too fussy. But actually in a modern room they look great, seem strong too. Time will tell. As usual, avoid ridiculous delivery charge (and delay) and get in store... if you can cope with that ;-)4

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
