Ok but a faff to put base inAnonymous reviewerOk and technically easy to build and install. However, Ikea need to rethink the design of the drawer base install. Currently the base has an angled groove along both edges that you have to engage in a similar profiled groove in the drawer back and front. To achieve this you have to slot in at angle and bend up to engage. This is very fiddly and took me many attempts. Almost like a laminate floor. 3

Beware: may be unfit for purposeAnonymous reviewerUsed the design option on the website to create a Pax wardrobe with doors and interior accessories. It allowed me to order three of these drawers but when it came to fitting them, the lowest one will not fit with the hinges on the wardrobe door. So we will have to order a basket drawer instead. Had we known that we would have ordered 3 basket drawers rather than 2 drawers and 1 basket. Also, the interior is entirely beige/grey shade whereas the Komplement basket is only available in white or dark grey so we are left with an ugly mismatched interior.1

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.

"What was difficult but also fun about designing KOMPLEMENT series was the challenge of finding a common look and style for many different functions. We wanted the design to work for elegant glass drawers as well as trouser hangers and shoe shelves. Everything should look beautiful together, no matter which interior organisers you choose. The idea behind KOMPLEMENT is to make it easier for you to find your favourite clothes and accessories. That’s why the interior organisers have a neutral style, with soft friendly shapes that show what’s inside."
