So comfortable to sit inVerified BuyerSo comfortable to sit in all day and great back/neck support5
Beware of the chairJammmHaving bought the chair just before Covid-19 lockdown I've had plenty of time to regret not returning it while I had the chance. The chair is incredibly uncomfortable and rickety. The netting back has already begun to become fluffy and unattractive on the sides(despite it having less than a months use) and is surprisingly less comfortable than the Ikea chair it replaced that was almost 20 years old! The seating area feels hard and isn't comfortable sitting for long periods of time. The arms appear to be topped with a badly fitted hollow plastic cap, which hangs over the edges creating a sharp edge and presses inwards when pressure is applied while getting up from the chair. The back feels clunky and again shows excess movement and the sides dig into your back if you sit on the chair in any way other than straight forwards. To say I was dissatisfied with the chair would be an understatement. Its unusable. I believe these faults are due to the design of the chair itself and this wasn't noticed until the chair was used for a length of time. The chair itself looks pretty and modern but falls FLAT on its face when it comes to functionality, durability and comfort. Stopped using it and spoke with Ikea who tell me that I can not return the chair now that 30 days have past(some of which were during lockdown) as they believe none of these faults can be classified as such. They won't even entertain the idea of a return, not even a voucher so that I can find something more comfortable. I will be taking the chair in-store once lockdown is over so that Ikea may inspect the chair but I haven't got my hopes up speaking with Ikea via email. Beware of the chair1
Great adjustments and comfortBlue Aussie bearVery comfortable and supportive. Nice wide seat that you can move forward and back to adjust for shorter or longer legs. Back support easily adjustable and comfy. Moves easily on a carpet mat. Nice and firm. Doesn’t wobble about like my old gaming chair. We bought a second as it was so comfy. Great chair for the price. Easy to assemble. Took 10 mins.5
Great office chairbottleblonde63An early Christmas present for me. I needed something with a lumbar support which this chair gives and it also has an adjustable headrest. It is a little pricey but my back will be very grateful !5
IKEA outdid themselves with this new chair!TPainThis chair is essentially a redesigned MARKUS chair; they took all the great things about that chair and improved it's flaws. Firstly, the quality of the build is outstanding, actual leather covering really gives that luxurious feel. Secondly it actually has adjustment more closely aligned with commercial office chairs, the lumbar support is excellent and it definitely works well for me who is 6ft2. That said I do feel the headrest is a bit high, even taking into account the adjustability, though it's hardly a deal-breaker. One more thing to note is the subtraction of arm rests by default; this will be a mixed bag for many, for me i was happy to try the chair without, knowing if it didn't work out i could buy them at a later date and attach. I can happily say after a couple months i've not had the urge to buy them. If you set your desk and chair up correctly you shouldn't need arm rests anyway!! Finally the price, yes it's a lot more than the old MARKUS chair, and yes it's one of the more expensive chairs IKEA sell, but when you compare what you get for your money vs a commercial office chair you just can't go wrong!!5
Comfortable Desk ChairAlanDGood product to replace an ageing desk chair. Easy to adjust, comfortable to sit on for long periods and supportive.4

Computer chairGood value for money very well made5
Close to being great..Adam91Ikea, here's what's needed for a perfect chair that I would happily spent £300-400 on backed by your 10 year guarantee.. Seat needs more cold foam padding, you had it right with the Markus, this however is much too thin and i can feel the wooden base within 1 year of moderate use. (I weigh 90kg) Arms need to be height and width adjustable, with a soft coating. The completely immovable, hard plastic arms are too wide apart and plain uncomfortable. The tilt mechanism needs tension adjustment like the Markus. Otherwise the rest is great, I love the mesh back, adjustable headrest, adjustable lumbar support (although I feel this has room for improvement too), the seat pan depth adjustment and ergonomics of the chair in general3
Uncomfortable and lacking some adjustmentstm65Overall, I did not find this chair very well designed for good ergonomics and ended up returning it. The seat cushion foam is too hard - meaning you can't sit comfortably for long periods. The upper backrest is supportive, but I the the lumbar support didn't work for me properly. The headrest was also oddly positioned, so again wasn't comfortable to use. The armrests were another disappointment - the extra price isn't warranted at all, as the armrests lack any padding (apart from hard plastic) and are not adjustable.1
Not for me.Scott M.I bought this chair because of it's height for the back rest. Unfortunately because I was in a rush and all of the display models in the store had the armrests attached, I was completely unaware that they were not included and had to go back to the store to purchase the armrests. I cannot recommend this chair to anyone that is around 2 meters (6'6) tall as the lombar support cushion does not raise high enough and caused back ache. The seat cushion is also as hard as a rock which caused great discomfort whilst sitting in it for long periods of time. I did however like that the headrest cushion is moveable, and the overall design of the chair is lovely, it just doesn't feel worth the money, especially that the arm rests are not included. Unfortunately I ended up returning the chair. I just cannot recommend if you're very tall, or don't like the fact you have to pay an extra £25 for the poorly built and designed arm rests.1
Not as happy as I thought I mite beNot as good as l thoughtAs the most expensive office type chair was expecting it to be more comfortable and it only just goes low enough for the arms to fit under the desk top.3
