Great storage optionDrspeedyI bought both the mirror and white gloss version of this cabinet and they both look great and provide loads of storage space for a small en suite bathroom. My only quibble was the soft close device on the mirror unit door would come loose every so often as there didn't seem to be a bolt to lock it in place. But minor relative to the value for money.5
Fell off!Night bomb01Great cabinenet Holds all my stuff. Until...the mirror fell off in the middle of the night.Apparentley held only with glue!! My son thought a bomb had gone off!! Mirror severely cracked but thankfully not shattered. No way to reattach. Could have been much worse! Dangerous don’t buy!!1
Dangerous! Do not buyBethLondonAs has happened with another customer this item fell off of the wall. The mirror smashed and it came down with such force that it smashed my toilet seat. Thank goodness no one was standing in front of it. The cabinet only has 2 holes for screw fixings at the top which is plainly not enough for the weight and size of the cabinet. It should have fixings in the middle and at the bottom. We had fixed the cabinet with appropriate screws and plugs but it simply was not enough to hold it. I am shocked and disappointed by the poor and frankly dangerous design of this cabinet.1
Door Fell off hinges and smashed over bathroomCM1966Bought this a few years ago when the hinges were glued straight onto the glass. The glue failed and the glass door fell off the hinges and smashed over the bathroom. Thankfully nobody was injured. They have since changed the design so that the door mirror is now mounted onto a wood back. Therefore, a flaw in the original design, otherwise why change it? Took the smashed door and hinges to Glasgow Ikea to show them but the returns supervisor completely dismissed it because I hadn’t been able to find my receipt.2
Disappointing to find out inside in mdf not metalCrissy2019It was disappointing to find out that actually the inside is a mirror stcker glued on top of MDF. It looks like is all mirror inside and metal outside but it isn't. Not sure how ling this mirror cabinet will last in a wet room.2
Great sizeDoyleyLovely cabinet, good quality with plenty of room inside.5
Mirror glass comprises mostly of ordinary glass with a reflective coating in some kind of metal. In the past it was common for the coating to contain lead or mercury – but over time, both of these metals have been shown to be harmful to people and the environment. That’s why, as of several years ago, IKEA has a total ban on using lead or mercury in our mirrors and instead it is non-toxic silver or aluminium that reflects your mirror image.
