Reviews

started well but now dippingAnonymous reviewernice tap but now drips incessantly and not something easily fixed. I wouldn't buy again.2
Poor qualityAnonymous reviewerwe purchased this tap and it has just been on our sink just a year and the coating has come off in parts, the handles keep going loose and now the tap drips and cannot be stopped. Very angry as they weren't cheap.1
Nice tap.... butAnonymous reviewerFirst thing. It is a nice tap works well etc. Seems hardy enough. However the down side is ours was fitted in the house we bought and whilst ikea warranty the tap for 10 years. They need the original order information. That I sort of understand. The downside is the internal cartridges which are normally replaceable are not any standard size. So it is basically impossible to fix without Ikeas help. So now I have to replace a whole tap for what should be a £5 fix and Ikea are unwilling to help. Even thought they make the parts and I want to purchase them.4
Funky eye catching tapAnonymous reviewerReally pleased with the tap. Looks really nice on the counter, wheels turn easily, hot and cold markers, great water pressure through the tap4
The round controllers wobbleAnonymous reviewerInstall for 2 years but the round hot and cold controllers are now loose/wobbly and can see how they can be tightened3
ExplodedAnonymous reviewerHad the kitchen fitted less than 4 weeks ago and the tap has just exploded. Not happy.1
Looks good but easily scratchedAnonymous reviewerIt's a bit more than I'd usually pay for a tap but I really love the look of it so brought it. It's the right height to fit a kettle under even with stuff in sink. However, it's easily scratched and is chrome underneath the black paint. It was scratched while holding it to fit and some dropped cutlery also got it. Now both handles have chrome bits showing on them. Disappointed something so expensive wasn't with more layers of paint or more robust. Am having to be very careful with it now2
Lovely after a yearAnonymous reviewerWe've had this tap in our IKEA kitchen for about a year now, and still love it. I get lots of compliments on how unique it is, and I think it looks a lot more expensive than it was. The tap is easy to wipe clean, the taps work well, are not a problem to turn, and look very cool, especially if you want an industrial look. We have ours with the black Kilsviken sink from IKEA and they pair very well. We installed this sink and tap ourselves with help from a family member, and have no complaints. We actually had to install it twice as we had an issue with our counters which meant we had to plumb this in to temporary counters, remove and re-plumb into the counters when they arrived. No problems.5
Looks amazing!Anonymous reviewerLovely tap, looks amazing. Controls seem to work in the opposite direction to any other tap, but no real issues - just something to get used to.5
Stylish and functionalAnonymous reviewerVery stylish and well built. Looks great.5
Beautiful tapAnonymous reviewerLove this tap! Looks great in our kitchen and compliments the kitchen5

Energy and resources

Did you know using water more efficiently can reduce your energy bills and help tackle climate change?

Heating hot water accounts for 25% of home energy usage. Using water efficiently reduces energy bills and ultimately reduces carbon emissions. Look for the unified water label and start making a difference. The label has a clear colour coded system to show how much energy and water the product uses. Green rated products use less than those rated Red. Visit www.uwla.eu to find out more.

Material

What is brass?

Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc and the amounts vary depending on the desired properties. Copper is usually the main material and the more zinc you add results in the brass being harder and stronger, but also results in it being more difficult to shape and less resistant to rust. Brass can be recycled as brass but never into its original metals. At IKEA we use brass for things like knobs, handles, frames and taps.
