Easy to assemble and so comfy !Anonymous reviewerLove this especially at the sale price ! . Its more creamy than white which is perfect. I dont live far from ikea so could have done click and collect as this is so compactly packed I could never have imagined it , but I went for delivery as I had a few bits and it was more convenient. I was worried about the review saying it was hard to assemble but honestly id built the frame and added cushions in around 35 minutes ....and alone ! It was VERY straight forward for me as a middle aged mom who has lots from ikea so I was familiar with their build techniques . I dont think I will ever buy a sofa from the mainstream sofa shops again after seeing the basic construction . That said its a spare for guests and little ones alongside my extortionate 4 grand main sofa 🤣. I will definitely be using ikea when I need another sofa in years to come 5

Uncomfortable Anonymous reviewerLoved the look of this but it is so uncomfortable. For seniors , the couch is too low and the seat too deep from fro too back, so makes getting up out of it very hard.. The back cushions are soft so give no support and have caused me continous back pain. I would like to have known this Before purchase. The fabric picks up every bit of fluff or fabric from cushions and clothing. These are things that you only discover when sitting in it. I would like to return it and get one that is more suitable, but don’t know if this is possible.1

Returned.Anonymous reviewerWe were hoping to buy white sofas but we returned the Backsõlan as we found it impossible to assemble. It required the mechanism with a lever to be pushed down whist at the same time pulling up the back of the sofa. This was too difficult to achieve. Perhaps it needed three people to assemble. We returned and purchased two Ektorp sofas which we knew were straightforward to assemble. 1

They are a good height, being higher than a lot of other sofas;high arms to lean into; a seat that is really comfortable to sit on and to stretch your legs on whilst propped up against the arm and back of the sofa. It is easy to stand back up after being sat down. I'm pleased that we waited for its arrival into stock.5

“My idea with BACKSÄLEN was to design a sofa that really makes you want to pull your legs up under you and snuggle up into a cosy ball. The loose fit of the upholstery gives the sofa a life of its own – somewhat like a fluffy cloud. To feel generous and embracing, the sofa has a deep seat and armrests that open up like a hug for you. I hope people personalise it with soft cushions and throws they like so it suits their own home and decor!"
