Material
What is rapeseed wax?
All candles in our range are good at creating a cosy atmosphere and we choose various materials so that we always end up with the best shape, function and quality. Rapeseed wax is well-suited for tealights or other candles in holders, and is made of oil from rapeseed – a versatile plant that paints the landscape yellow when it blooms. Using rapeseed is a natural result of our decision that all materials we use in our candles will be renewable or recycled by 2030.

Designer thoughts
“Design is an important part of sustainability since the lifespan of a product also depends on how much people love it. So when I designed the glass scented candle holder for IKEA, I wanted to make it so beautiful that people would not want to discard the holder after the candle burns out. I hope they keep it instead – and reuse it in new ways for a long time.”
