How to make more of bathroom storage

Small bathrooms may be cosy, but you still need somewhere to keep all your pampering products. Clever storage ideas can help declutter and maximise space, even if you’ve got loads of toiletries and towels.

1. Double down on shower rods if you've got more things to hang than places to hang them. An extra rod with S-hooks adds extra storage space for hanging towels, bathrobes and dressing gowns.

2. Use the bathroom door, and the space above it, to create extra bathroom storage. This handy spot is often overlooked but is the perfect place for a shelf to store clean towels. You could also consider adding an over-the-door hook, so there’s a place to hang your bathrobe.

3. Wall space is precious, especially in small bathrooms. Shallow cabinets like these are a great idea for saving room, and have adjustable shelving to accommodate items of all sizes. For a little personality, add a small shelf with a plant and some decorative pieces.

4. Make mornings a breeze with suction bathroom wall storage (no power tools required). It makes finding makeup and toiletries super easy, while a rod below offers somewhere to hang the day’s outfit.

5. Don't let the space in your bathroom go to waste. Store cleaning supplies in water-resistant plastic boxes under the sink (as long as there are no little ones around who can get into them).

We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
