Homemade guacamole party treats

01 May 2017

When Paris-based architect Florian invites friends over, he loves putting together these delicious-looking (and easy to make) Guacamole Glasses as a light Summer snack. ‘Our friend is the chef at a top London hotel so for our party, I followed his advice to create snacks that taste great!’ Serve with bowls of delicious olives, feta and tomatoes.

Guacamole Glasses are a tasty choice for a selection of party canapés

Guacamole glasses

Serves 10
3 avocados
2 lemons
5 cherry tomatoes
1 medium-sized white onion
2 garlic cloves
Salt and pepper
Cayenne pepper
15 sun-dried tomatoes

  • The ingredients for guacamole include avocados, lemons, garlic cloves and cherry tomatoes

    Step 1
To make the guacamole, halve the avocados, lemons and cherry tomatoes. Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves. Juice the lemons, saving a few slices for decoration.

  • Purée the ingredients with a handheld mixer to make the guacamole

    Step 2
Mash the avocado or purée with a handheld mixer. Add the other ingredients, along with salt, freshly ground black pepper and cayenne pepper to taste. Shake in extra cayenne pepper to give the guacamole a real kick!

  • Fill the bottom of each glass with sun-dried tomatoes before adding the guacamole

    Step 3
Fill the bottom third of your small glasses with sun-dried tomatoes, then add the guacamole on top. Decorate the top of each glass with a slice of lemon. Add a side dish of tortilla chips and enjoy. Et voilà!

Paris-based Florian loves to cook for his friends on the weekend

‘I love to cook, and I love to party! Most weekends we have an apéro with about 10 friends, drinking and eating around our big table.’
