An indoor green oasis

24 February 2017

Bringing nature into our lives, can be as easy as a little plot in the living room or bedroom window to livens things up. Adding a few plants can change the atmosphere in a space and make the air easier to breathe. See how The Urban Jungle Bloggers have created an indoor oasis to unwind and de-stress.

Go for a theme

"You love lush tropical plants? You adore a desert vibes? Go for plenty of plants when creating your green oasis - it can be a lush tropical reading corner, or a sculptural cacti corner. Match your green oasis to your interior style and your taste!"

A stress free zone

A lot of people are less stressed when they spend some time in nature, surrounded by flowers and greenery. If you live in the city you can build your own little green hut with climbing, creeping, winding plants. It can be your very own green oasis.

Mix and match

"Mix and match your plant pots! You can completely change the look of your plants by changing their containers. For planters without a drainage hole, like tea/coffee cups and some ceramics, add a layer of gravel, lava rock or pot shards on the bottom to prevent root rot."

"The secret is in choosing the plant that fits your lifestyle and starting your urban jungle on a small scale. Just like your home, let it grow with you and become more personal and more thriving over time."
