1. What new IKEA store openings are scheduled?
Currently there are not other store openings scheduled for the Egypt.
2. Can someone help me plan and design rooms?
Many IKEA stores offer a home decoration service if you wish to furnish an entire room or home. Most IKEA stores also offer a kitchen planning service. Using computer simulations, specially trained kitchen planners can help you plan and choose the kitchen that is right for you.
3. How can I get large items home?
Most IKEA products are flat-packed, making them easy to transport. The IKEA store offers (or will refer you to) a home delivery service if you prefer. Home delivery is not included in the product price.
4. Why are items sometimes out of stock?
Every effort is made to maintain the availability of items shown in the catalogue, but due to popularity and supply issues, some products may not always be available. Generally, IKEA can estimate when a product should be back in stock. Because IKEA products are manufactured throughout the world, there are sometimes circumstances which can cause delivery delays.
5. What if I want to have the products assembled?
IKEA products are generally easy to assemble and require no special tools. If you prefer, most IKEA stores can refer you to a reputable, reasonably priced assembly company that can come to your home to assemble and install our products.
6. Can I return items?
IKEA stores always offer a generous return policy. Ask for assistance at your store or look in your catalogue for details. Please do not forget the receipt and the original packaging.
7. Complaints?
If you have any complaints about our products or services please contact your store and we will be happy to solve the problem.
8. How many products are in the IKEA product range?
There are about 12,000 products in the total IKEA product range. Each store carries a selection of these 12,000 products depending on store size. Specifically, IKEA Egypt carry 8,500 of these 12,000 products. The core range is the same worldwide.
9. Where are IKEA products purchased?
More than 2,000 suppliers in over 50 countries manufacture our products. The profile of our well-designed and high quality range is distinctively Swedish. The low price is literally built into the production and the flat packs facilitate a rational distribution, self-service and immediate take-away. All of our products are labeled "Design and Quality, IKEA of Sweden."

1. Are all IKEA products buyable online?
Most IKEA products are buyable online. These products has information that says “Available for delivery” exception example: assorted plants.
2. Is there any limitation on the quantity or amount of online purchase?
No, there is no limit. The quantity that you can buy is depending on the available stock of the online purchase.
3. What are the cards acceptable for online purchases?
All major credit cards like Visa, MasterCard.
4. My credit card was not issued in Egypt, can I use the card to purchase online?
Yes.
5. Is there a cash on delivery option?
Yes with a maximum order value of 10,000 EGP
6. Is it possible to cancel an item after payment?
Unfortunately, you are not able to add or remove any items from an order made online
7. Is it possible to cancel the order after payment?
Yes, as long as the order is not yet delivered. Please contact the call center to cancel the order.
8. How can I get the refund?
The refund issued to the same card.
9. How long the refund takes to be updated on my credit card account?
Refund to card depends on your bank terms and conditions, mostly the refund takes up to 14 working days.
10. Can I cancel the services and collect the product from the X store? Can I get a refund for the services?
We don’t have this facility online right now. A full Refund including the items & services can be done by calling the call center at 16576 & you can make a new Click & Collect Order, to know more click here.
11. Can I change the delivery date?
Cancellation of the current order is required for rescheduling. Please call the call center at 16576 and give your reference order number. Your order including the services will be refunded to you. You will be requested to make a new online order and select a new delivery date which is subject to the next available dates.
12. Can I add items to the existing order and include them in the same delivery?
Unfortunately, this is not applicable. Kindly place a new order.
13. Can I combine my online purchase to store purchase for the same day delivery?
Unfortunately, this is not applicable.
14. Is there an online discount for IKEA Family members?
Yes, if the Phone number used in the order is registered to IKEA family
15. Is there an online discount for Al-Futtaim employee?
It is not possible for a discount. Please purchase in store to apply the discount

17. Can I get a TAX invoice for my company for online purchases?
Yes, the tax invoice is emailed automatically, In case the Tax invoice is requested with different contact details than the registered data Please call the call center at 16576.
18. Do you have express delivery services for online purchases?
At the moment, we can only offer express services for store purchased
19. Can I use 2 or more Credit cards to make a purchase for a single order?
Please place separate orders for each credit card used. Inform our call center and we will refund the delivery charges on the additional orders.

1. What is the IKEA catalogue?
This year's IKEA catalogue was produced in 38 editions, in 17 languages for 28 countries. The catalogue offers more than just a glimpse at the diverse IKEA product range. You'll discover new affordable solutions and creative approaches to help inspire home furnishing ideas for better living.
2. How can I get a copy of the IKEA catalogue?
The IKEA catalogue is mass-distributed annually in the area around each IKEA store. If you did not receive this year's catalogue, stop by the IKEA store near you for a free copy, or download an online version, which is available on our website.
3. When does the new catalogue come out?
The annual catalogue is distributed in August/September of each year and is valid for a full year. Prices are guaranteed not to increase while the catalogue is valid.
In it, you'll discover our furnishings, accessories and room settings along with detailed information on materials, colours, sizes, product care and prices. That way you can plan your next visit to IKEA all from the comfort of your own home!
4. How environmentally friendly is the IKEA catalogue?
Our catalogues are printed on totally chlorine-free paper and contain at least 10-15% post-consumer waste. No rainforest or old-growth fibres are used. The pre-press process is 100% digital, which means no film is used and none of the associated chemicals. No optical brighteners are used on the paper.

We do not require any information to obtain access to any part of our site, unless specifically stated. Payments via Sympl
What is Sympl?
Sympl is a payment method that enables Egyptian bank card holders (especially debit cards or credit cards) to buy now and pay later on 3, 4, or 5 payments with no interest, no application process, no pre-registration, and no waiting time for approval. Just pay the service fee and down payment requested to complete the purchase in less than 10 seconds.
What differentiates Sympl?
- Sympl is the first payment method to offer a buy now pay later solution to debit card holders as well as credit card holders.
- Buy what you want and pay later with no application process, no pre-registration, and no waiting time for approval.
- Pay later with 0% interest on any purchase.
- Pick your preferred payment plan between 3, 4, or 5 payments to be paid every week, every two weeks, or every month.
- No hidden fees; just pay a one-time service fee on every purchase, which is displayed during purchase.
- No need to make any effort to remember or pay your payments because all payments are automatically deducted from your card on their due dates.
What is required to use Sympl or become a Sympl customer?
Nothing is required other than your Egyptian bank card (debit or credit), your national ID card, and choose to pay later with Sympl as a payment method at checkout with the condition of having an available card balance that covers the full transaction amount.
What are Sympl’s terms and conditions?
- The card balance has to cover the full transaction amount; however, we do not hold the amount on the card.
- The customer has to present his national ID card while checking out and the name on NID card has to match the name on card.
- The minimum transaction amount is EGP300 and the maximum is EGP30,000
- The down payment is determined according to Sympl’s criteria, so it varies form one customer to the other and from one card to the other.
- The customer has to sign on both copies of the receipt (customer’s copy and merchant’s copy)
- The customer pays the down payment and service fee displayed during purchase using his bank card used in the transaction and not in cash.
- All payments are automatically deducted on their due dates from the customer’s bank card used in the transaction.
- The merchant can process full or partial refunds from the POS machine.
- In case of full refunds, the service fee cannot be refunded back to the customer if the refund took place after 72 hours from purchase date.
Do I need to pay a down payment or fees to use Sympl?
We require a minimum down payment that is calculated depending on each customer and each card upon checkout and displayed during purchase. As for the fees, the customer pays a one-time service fee on every purchase which varies between EGP100 and EGP200 also displayed during purchase.
How to pay the down payment and service fee?
The down payment and service fee are paid through direct debit from the customer’s bank card used during purchase.
Can I use Sympl with any bank card?
You can use Sympl with Egyptian bank cards only (debit or credit cards).
When does the customer’s bank card get rejected?
Below are the most common reasons for card rejections:
- The card balance does not cover the full transaction amount.
- The card’s expiry date is in less than 7 months from purchase date.
- The card is newly issued from less than 3 months.
- The customer fully consumed his limit in previous transaction(s).
- The customer is not punctual or fails to settle his due payments.
- The customer uses a non-Egyptian bank card.
- The customer uses a bank card which belongs to another person.
- The card does not meet Sympl’s terms and conditions
How do I make a return/exchange with Sympl?
Any return/exchange for a Sympl transaction is processed according to the IKEA’s refund and exchange policy so you need to contact the IKEA and request the refund/exchange.
If the refund is accepted from IKEA, the down payment is refunded back to the customer’s bank card used during purchase and the service fee is refunded only if the refund took place within 72 hours from purchase date. Also, all past paid payments related to this transaction (if any) are refunded back to the customer’s bank card as well as cancelling any upcoming payments related to this transaction.
