Who can buy goods using a loan?

  • Any permanent resident of Estonia.
  • The borrower must have a permanent official monthly income.
  • Age of the borrower: from 18 years.

Information about paying for a purchase using a loan:

  • Loan amount: from 100 € to 15 000 €.
  • Loan term: from 3 to 36 months.
  • A qualified Smart-ID, AS “Citadele banka” internet bank or eSignature, as well as a passport or ID card are required for issuing a loan.

How it works

If the total amount of your shopping basket is 100 € or more, you can pay in instalments. The process consists of 6 simple steps.

At the IKEA Tallinn store:

  1. Scan the QR code on the price tag.
  2.  Authenticate.
  3. Fill in application form.
  4. Receive an offer in 5 minutes.
  5. Sign the agreement with Smart ID, AS “Citadele banka” internet bank or eSignature. After signing, you will receive an email with a barcode, which you will need to activate at the Return and Replacement department (1st floor).
  6. Pay at the checkout by showing the barcode you have received and activated.

At the IKEA selling points in Tartu and Pärnu:

  1. Scan the QR code on the price label.
  2. Authenticate.
  3. Fill in application form.
  4. Receive an offer in 5 minutes.
  5. Sign the agreement with Smart ID, AS “Citadele banka” internet bank or eSignature. After signing, you will receive an email with a barcode, which you will need to activate at the checkout.
  6. Pay at the checkout by showing the barcode you have received and activated.

Loan amount of €500, repayment period of 6 months, monthly payment of €83,33, interest rate of 0%, contract fee of €15, annual percentage rate (APR) of 11%, the total sum of the loan €515. The loan is provided by the Estonian branch of AS Citadele banka. Read the terms and conditions at www.citadele.ee and consult an expert, if necessary.

Typical example of Klix 36-month hire purchase: 

If the loan is repaid in full within 6 months from the date it was issued, the monthly payment is €83,33, the annual percentage rate (APR) is 0%, and the total amount to be repaid is €500. If the loan is repaid within 36 months, the down payment is €0, the loan amount is €500, the monthly payment is €17,09, the repayment term is 36 months, the interest rate is 14%, the annual percentage rate (APR) is 15%, and the total amount to be repaid is €615,15. Depending on the lender's solvency assessment, you may be offered different terms than in this example (e.g. a different annual interest rate, contract fee, monthly payment, etc.).
