For the big moments in everyday life
There’s a lot going on around the dining table – we work, do homework, do crafts, sort laundry, and eat, of course. With the GRÅSALA family, we have created robust tables, chairs and stools that last long but don’t require a big investment. We found inspiration in one of the most challenging environments for tables and chairs.
As an adult, you might have mixed emotions about your school years, but if you develop furniture, the school can be a source of inspiration, says Magnus Wernersson, one of our product developers. ”Just like a school chair, GRÅSALA fits many different bodies. It can withstand rough handling and lasts for a long time – but it is more comfortable to sit on,” he smiles.
Great comfort and a timeless design
The team solved the seating comfort with a padded seat for both the chair and the barstool – and additional details that make the moments by the table comfier. “By choosing a flexible material for the backrest, we created a nice springiness. And the steel laths of the bar stool give comfortable support for your feet while providing stability.” Some of the inspiration also came from our own, older range. “The rounded shapes of the tables are definitely a flirt with the seventies. These timeless lines go great with many different styles.”
Stack and move for more space
Flexibility and function were important for GRÅSALA. That’s why the chair is stackable, and the stool can be pushed in under the bar table or the kitchen counter when it’s time for yoga or if the dinner turns into spontaneous dancing. When you have two tables, they can easily be moved together if you want to set the table for many people. And the all grey colour is chosen with care, explains Magnus. “It’s a practical and timeless base colour that lets you add the details and make GRÅSALA a part of your home.”
