Welcome back

    Hej

Since 11 May 2020 our doors are open again. The reopening was a very special and emotional moment for us. It was nice to experience this moment together with you and we are happy that we can now welcome you again personally in our IKEA stores.

The safety and well-being of our co-workers and customers is our top priority. That is why we have introduced extensive safety and hygiene measures that go even one step further than those recommended by the Swiss Confederation. For example, we limit the number of visitors to one customer per 20 square meters, instead of the recommended 10 square meters.

We have used the months of the lockdown to develop new services to respond to the changing needs and circumstances, which we will continue to offer. Services such as the Click & Collect Drive in (contactless) or remote planning sessions, which we will continue to offer.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you in our IKEA stores. Please remember that security measures and a large number of visitors can lead to longer processing and waiting times. I thank you already now for your patience.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the extremely committed and tirelessly working co-workers of IKEA Switzerland. It's really fantastic how the IKEA values unite and guide us in these unprecedented times, despite all the limitations.

Together we look forward to your visit, thank you for your patience and wish you all the best. Stay healthy.

    Jessica Anderen, CEO IKEA Switzerland

Our co-workers look forward to seeing you, with a smile behind the mask.

    All information on shopping safely:

    Safety and hygiene measures

Here’s how we can work together to protect ourselves:

We're still living in challenging times. That’s why we’ve prepared extensive safety and hygiene measures to protect you and our co-workers. So there’s no longer anything stopping you from feeling safe and at ease while shopping with us!

    Stricter hygiene measures

    Stricter hygiene measures

You’ll find disinfectant dispensers and wipes throughout our stores, and our cleaning staff are constantly on the go.

    Some employees wear a mask

For your and our protection, some employees in IKEA stores wear masks. Don't let this confuse you: There's a smile underneath.

    1.5 metres’ distance

To protect ourselves, we are all keeping at a distance from one another. So that we can stick to the minimum distance of 1.5 metres, you will find markings on the floor in certain areas.

    Card payment

You can protect yourself and others by paying by card rather than cash whenever possible.

Max. four persons at one table

A maximum of four people who already know each other may sit together per table.
The exception is families with more than two children.

Do you have items that you would like to exchange?

Do you have items that you would like to exchange?

It’s important to us that you like the products that you have bought at IKEA. That’s why we give you 365 days in which you are able to change your mind.

Don’t worry, for any products for which return periods have expired during the lockdown and which otherwise meet our return criteria, we will be extending return periods up to 11 July. For all mattresses for which exchange periods have expired during the lockdown and which otherwise meet our return criteria, we will be extending exchange periods up to 11 June.

Your health and the health of our co-workers is our top priority. To prevent a huge surge in demand right from the start, wherever possible please hold off on making returns and complaints until the initial period after the stores have reopened has passed.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Online shopping at IKEA.ch

Yes. We are still here for you 24 hours a day. At the moment, the following options are available to you:

    Parcel delivery service

    Good to know:

    • Parcel deliveries have no fixed delivery date
    • As soon as your order reaches our delivery partner DPD, you will be notified about the exact time and date of delivery.
    • It may happen that your Parcel delivery is split into two packages and that these are not delivered simultaneously. Please be patient. The second package will be sent to you as quickly as possible. Thank you.

    Standard deliveries by truck

    Express deliveries by truck
We will deliver your order to your home within 48 hours. This service is only available in certain regions. It will appear automatically in the last step of the order process, provided we deliver to your postcode and you have selected products that can be delivered using this service.

Collection from a store (Click & Collect or IKEA Collect-Box) or an IKEA Pick up Point

Try adding the item you wish to buy to your shopping list. In some cases it is possible to buy the item this way. When you click on the shopping list, it will say “How would you like to receive your order” at the bottom. Enter your postcode. If there is an alternative option for you, it will be displayed here.

If this does not work either, you will unfortunately have to wait until the item becomes available again.

We’re receiving a lot of orders at the moment. For this reason, certain delivery windows are fully booked. If this is the case for you, please select an alternative delivery window.

Since the health of our customers, our co-workers and our suppliers is our top priority, IKEA and its suppliers that carry out orders for IKEA are adhering to the official guidelines laid down by the FOPH. (such as consistent distancing and hygiene routines, more frequent cleaning and the wearing of gloves).

    Deliveries by truck
If you would prefer our delivery partners to leave your deliveries by the front door rather than bring them into your flat, please let our delivery partners know when they contact you prior to delivery.

    Parcel deliveries
Our service partner DPD will deliver your package to your home directly. There is also the option to grant a signature release authorisation. DPD will send you a link as soon as they have received your package. Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to pick up your package from a DPD pick-up shop.

Click & Collect drive-in / IKEA Collect Box
With both services, you can collect your order without directly coming into contact with any of our co-workers.

    Deliveries and collections

Our express deliveries usually take 48 hours to reach your home. Delivery times for standard deliveries are a little longer than usual due to the large volume of orders we are currently receiving. Thank you for your patience.

    • Parcel delivery service: ca. 3 days
    • Express deliveries by truck: 48 hours
    • Standard deliveries by truck: around 25 days

We will keep you informed about the status of your delivery. Please use our order tracking tool at IKEA.ch.

Yes. Here you can find more information:

If you would like to book an assembly, please click here.

As the health of our customers, our co-workers and our suppliers is our top priority. IKEA and all companies working to support IKEA are adhering to the official guidelines laid down by the FOPH (such as for example consistent distancing and hygiene routines, more frequent cleaning and the wearing of gloves).

With our IKEA stores reopening, you have two ways in which you can plan out a space just the way you want it, with the help of our kitchen, wardrobe system or living room specialists: with a planning appointment at the IKEA store or using our online planning service.

    Complaints

We’re receiving a lot of calls and emails at the moment. We are doing our utmost to process all enquiries. Unfortunately, you may need to wait longer than usual for your calls and emails to be answered, however.

We deeply regret this and ask for your patience and understanding.

    Vouchers

Don’t worry. We will find a solution for all valid vouchers.

IKEA digital voucher from a 250/50 activity
If you have an IKEA voucher (digital voucher) from a 250/50 activity that is due to expire on 5 April 2020: your IKEA voucher has been automatically extended to 30 June 2020.

If your IKEA voucher (digital voucher) from a 250/50 activity is due to expire on a different date but still during the period in which IKEA stores will remain closed, you have two options:

You can either redeem it online at any time or you can get in touch with us. We will then issue you a new voucher that is valid until the end of June 2020.

    IKEA FAMILY vouchers
In the IKEA Family App, the validity of all vouchers that would have expired between 16 March and 26 April was automatically extended until 31.5.2020.
