Growing up, I was often at our summer house by the sea where we had many lanterns hanging on the porch. When I designed GLIMRANDE I wanted to recreate that feeling and make a traditional lantern with a modern twist. The most important detail is the rolling glass with the same shape as sand on a beach when the sea retreats. My idea is that the lantern’s light should spread in the same nostalgic way as old lighthouses ― and create a warm atmosphere everywhere in the home.
