Broke in Less than a YearIliaTThis was a good product while it lasted, which wasn't very long. The little rope-spring mechanism snapped after only a short period of use.1
Blinds for lakeLen 007It is perfect for what I need5
RW20Blinds work great- block out the light completely, bought some for bedrooms at home and was happy enough with them to buy more for cottage. Easy to install, push up/pull down very smooth.4
Trippevals Black-out blindlchavDoes a very good job of darkening room. Mounting hardware is not great. Brackets are relatively small and the screw holes are very close together. If you have to use wall anchors you will have to drill two larger holes very close together in your wall, not the best way to support a load.4
TarapeeJust purchased for front room small side windows- perfect! Really cut down on the hot sun during the day. Very easy to install. Colour is a vey light grey which looks more off white in our room.4
Mellie Maclove it, works as it should5
Excellent blackout blindsJohn002Easy to install . Took no time5
Poorly designed for concrete apartmentsIan007I perfectly understand you can't make all customers happy, but in the BC Lower Mainland where so many of us live in concrete high-rises and shop at IKEA, it's beyond me why you wouldn't make a product that could be installed easily in North America. Most of us living in newer high-rises have floor-to-ceiling windows (or in my case, knee-level-to-ceiling), so we have to mount this blind directly to the ceiling.....a ceiling that in nearly all cases for high-rises will be concrete slab. You need to have proper concrete screws that anchor to the ceiling. Unfortunately, the holes in the mounting bracket that come with this blind are drilled with a 1/8 wide opening. A quick trip to any hardware store will tell you that the smallest tap-con screw (as they are called) is 3/16 - too wide to fit through the mounting bracket holes. You won't be able to find such anchors on Amazon either - only in Japan do they sell something around this size. As for drilling out the mounting bracket to make a 3/16 opening, that would be ill-advised. The mounting bracket isn't as simple as you would think, it has a plastic sliding component which would probably get cracked or permanent damaged should you try. The mounting bracket is meant to be either wall or ceiling mounted - why wasn't this thought through for North American markets? Seems like an oversight to me. If you're going to sell something that requires a specialty part for installation (like a 1/8 concrete screw), maybe you should also sell such a part in store. Or, make something more universally compatibility with across all markets.... Will be returning this.2
