So disappointed - can't be repairedDianaI bought this lamp in the "as is" and it worked great for a few years. Then it started to droop. Turns out the connection is not a bolt, but a weird U-shaped piece with the threads on one side. The nut stripped and won't tighten, and there is no way to fix it. I LOVE the look of this lamp, but all the "brass" parts are plastic, and once anything breaks, it's done. I still have a "new" lamp, but in pieces. Steer clear. I've been buying Ikea products for years, and this is the first thing I've ever had fail.2

I love it, but it has a design flawDianaI bought this lamp because of its attractive design. Installed it in my husband's office. However, in the past year or so I've gone in there and the shade is resting on the desk. Tried to tighten the wingnut, and it's stripped. So now I have to figure out how to repair it. I wish it was built to be a little more sturdy.3

Great Reading LightMarcelleThis is a stylish and practical standing lamp. The two gold parts makes it more interesting than if it was just black. The light is concentrated enough for reading. It was pretty easy to assemble. The important thing is to make sure the pieces are lined up correctly before joining them or you will have to take them apart and do it again.5

The bulb lasts longer than the lampAnonymousI gave this more than 1 star only because I enjoyed it while it lasted, but after only 3 years (almost to the day) of routine use, as I tried to turn it on today, I heard a faint click near the lamp shade, and no illumination. I tried several new bulbs, but nothing worked. I’m not sure I like the idea of replacing it, since at $60 a lamp, it costs $20/year to use it.2
Great reading lampSueI bought after consulting with a great store clerk at Ikea. She was very knowledgeable and professional and showed us many options. I'm glad we settled on this lamp. We brought it home and it was easy to assemble. It works very well and I like that it is adjustable5

This is a great reading lamp that is next to my couch. It looks wonderful and is very well built! No tipping over because of the heavy base.

Using this as the only lamp in the room, it can be faced upwards to illuminate the whole room, or rotated downwards for focused light for reading…and it’s a great value at its price point.
