Care

Safety and compliance

This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.The cover has a lightfastness level of 5-6 (the ability to resist color fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

Great chairJoanThese are very nice chairs. We have three at our summer cottage. Easy to switch up the look by changing the cover of the cushion at the back ( purchased separately) . Light and easy to move around. Surprisingly comfortable. I am on the shorter side (5’4”) and I like that I can keep both feet planted on the ground. Yet my 6’4” partner also likes to sit in them. We chose the white washed wood. Very modern and clean look which is perfect to go with other furniture we have.5

Excellent ChairDikosavaI have wanted this chair since I first saw it at the store. I loved everything about the design, the size, the removable cushion, the look of solid wood... Then, when a need for a bedroom accent chair arose I started reading the reviews. It is interesting to me that people complain about a chair that costs this much and can be easily assembled by one person, comes with all the tools one needs, and fits into a trunk of a small car. Not solid wood? Since I am not using the chair in my sauna or at the bottom of the pool, I am very happy with the material used here and the environmentally sound decision to use materials other than wood for an effect this good. The chair is super comfortable, easy to clean, and sturdy. I threw on a decorative down-filled cushion for lower back and it's a perfect reading chair. Keep it up, IKEA. 5

A short chair for short people!WayneLove the height of seat on this chair (for reference I'm 5'0"). The seat is an ample width, but the depth is a bit too deep. The cushion is well padded and has small rubber dots on the underside to prevent slippage. A cushion for the backrest spindles would have made this the perfect chair! It doesn't seem sturdy, and I can see it needing to be tightened frequently, but I'll add some wood glue to the arms and legs and see if that braces it. Overall attractive and comfortable chair that doesn't take up too much space. I did find the 249$ price a bit steep, though.5
