Way overpriced RhondaNot even close! This tray is nowhere near as dark as in picture. It’s way overpriced for what you get. The walnut is unfinished and It has rough edges that look like it wasn’t even sanded properly. If you’re looking for something polished and chic as the picture indicates you won’t get it with this unless you’re willing to stain yourself and make it work. Absolutely not worth the price! 1

Disappointing qualityTanyaBought this lovely tray but it is not at all functional. You can only use it for decorative purposes. It marks so easily. The slightest liquid stains immediately. The photos implied it could be functional, used for plates, glasses, etc.. This was very misleading and disappointing, especially for the price.1

great findAndreaI found this in the circular hub. Gave it a very light sanding with 400 grit sandpaper and oiled it with pure hemp oil since the wood seemed dried out. It looks amazing now!5

I use this as an ottoman tray, and it looks really beautiful! I wish IKEA carried more trays like this in different sizes. Note: it is unfinished, I just gave it a coat of mineral oil and it's holding up great.

“The OMBONAD series has everything for the dining table. My idea was to make simple, functional everyday items with a clear Scandinavian character and add warmth and texture. The ceramics are inspired by traditional craft where the material carries much of the expression, while the glass products have a more contemporary touch. The wooden serving tray complements with a natural, tactile feel. The idea is to take the best from each material – and match for all occasions."
