Cover looks old after one week.Kate_82I bought this sofa on February, 27th. My husband and I barely sit on it, however, after ONE WEEK, a lot of little pill balls appeared in the cover, giving an old and unkempt appearance to the furniture. Although any reasonable company would keep in mind that, once it is a sofa and people will sit on it constantly, it didn't seem to be Ikea's concern nor a problem for them: I wrote them and, in reply, I received a message informing that this is not a manufacturing or quality issue with the product itself. Pilling isn’t a defect with the product’s material as it happens when small fibres in the material become tangles. Again, it is a sofa, and it was supposed to have a cover that could handle a lot of friction. To get things worst, it is a sofa bed. Can not even imagine how the sofa will look like after someone sleep on it... The good point is that the mattress is firm: you don't sink while sit on it.2
Would not recommendad89I personally do not like this futon at all. I purchased it because I wanted something that could act as a bed when I had guests over. For that purpose, I suppose it is fine. But for it's purpose as an actual sofa/couch, I hate it. It's not comfortable at all to sit on, and the actual seat bit is far too deep, so even for an average sized person, your feet never touch the ground, if you want your back to be up against the back rest. If you do want your feet to touch the ground, then your back won't be against the backrest (unless you want to sit with absolutely terrible posture), so you might aswell be sitting on a stool. You just cannot get comfortable sitting on this as a couch. I pretty much never use it, and it just sits in my living room and every time I see it I'm annoyed I bought it. I wish I had just bought a normal couch that was actually comfortable to sit on.1
