Ultra easy scratchesAnto888Bought this as a part of my kitchen renovation and loved the look. Was able to keep my garburator and install without any issue. I don’t have any issues with vibration like the other review below. However, it began to scratch almost immediately. It now looks older than the sink I replaced, which was from 1995. I wouldn’t recommend buying this, as I’m now already looking to replace it just 2 months post purchase. Stay away from this one.1
Great sink, frustrating installationPhysics206This sink seems great, although I haven’t used it yet. it has brackets on the bottom into which a botched reverse thread screw hooks. The screws have toothed clamps that tighten on the underside of the counter to hold the sink in place (along with silicone). The problem is that with at least three of these screws, the bracket was too open to hold the botched screw, so when you tightened it they just slipped out every time. Others stayed in place. There’s a little spring tab on each bracket but clearly the design needs some improvement. It’s in now and looks good.3
Dont listen to the ignorant reviews.Anonymous reviewerThis sink is just fine. The gauge, although a little on the thin side being 20, has NO bearing on its ability to resist scratching. It is a quality steel. Stainless sinks scratch its just the way it is and the staining will be caused by hard water. I have no issues with this sink.4
ultra cheap sink for expensive priceAnonymous reviewerWe bought this sink a few months ago for a kitchen renovation and only installed it a week ago (in a temporary counter top - in anticipation of having the templating work done for the new quartz counter top). When we chose the sink, we didn't know the difference between a good and bad sink, and did not pay adequate attention to important details. This is a 28 sink (which is actually pretty small). I have no excuse for missing that one except that it was the biggest one I saw in the store, and assumed it was comparable to the more less standard size sink we had at home - I was wrong. Probably the most disappointing thing is that it is made with cheap 20 gauge steel. Most buying guides I've found recommend a minimum of 18 gauge (lower number = thicker steel), but an ideal of 16 gauge steel. 20 gauge = 0.9mm thick 18 gauge = 1.2mm thick 16 gauge = 1.5mm thick Within the first two days of using the sink (just washing normal dishes), it started to develop noticeable scratches, and it keeps getting worse each time we used it. We've only had it installed for a week and it already looks scratched up. Instead of this sink, look for one that is made of 16 gauge good quality stainless steel (T-304). A quick search online shows many very nice options that fit these criteria for a little over half the price of this sink. I've now ordered another sink and as disappointed as I am to have wasted so much money on such a low quality product, I am so grateful that I had the experience I did BEFORE the templating work took place for my quartz counter. Once the counter is cut for a given sink - especially under-mount - it becomes very costly to change. I'm hoping this review might help others to not make the same mistake.1
Very good looking sink but terrible to maintainAnnaTOChose this sink as it's a beauty. However, it is impossible to maintain it clean - water drops constantly leave stains. Also, very easy to scratch. Definitely do not recommend.1
Not a good fit with garbarator installDMV7I installed this sink in a clients new kitchen. It looks nice but i am having a huge problem with major vibrating after installing a garbarator mounted to the underside of sink. I feel like the gauge of the sink is not solid enough to support a garbarator3

Material

Stainless steel

Stainless steel is a durable material which means that your sink bowl, for example, is highly stain resistant. When the material is new, it is natural that the first scratches are visible, but they become less visible over time as the material is used and gets a more matte tone. This means that your stainless steel sink bowl will age well and only become finer over the years.
