Combine this bed frame with a slatted bed base with a max. thickness of 4 cm to keep the slats hidden in the frame. The slats of a higher bed base may be visible along the sides of the bed.

Stains can be removed by using an eraser, fine sandpaper, soap, dishwashing detergent or paint thinner.
For increased stability, re-tighten the screws and other connectors when necessary.

Not a complete bed!ChristineMy mom's house got flooded so I was looking for an inexpensive bed frame for a temporary emergency. I grab this because of the low price but after building the unit, I realized I also needed to buy the slatted bed base separately!
How are people suppose to know this when they are at the warehouse? There should be sign when people are going to pick up this box to notify people to also grab the $30 slatted bed base.

Simple minimalist bedAnonymous reviewerI’ve been enjoying sleeping on this bed for the past six years. It’s simple, but I love it. It’s easy to vacuum underneath and light enough for me to move for cleaning purposes.
I wish I had gotten a full size instead of a twin, though; I recently heard that sleeping on a bigger bed improves your sleep. If you have enough space, you might consider getting a bigger one for a little extra money.
Frame came broken 2 timesElliotI opened the product and went to change it. Started to assemble it again and again a part was broken, but as the store is far from my location I decided to just accept it as is and I had to use sandpaper to smooth the damaged parts.

It is very easy to assemble. I did it all by myself. Although with company is more fun and more fast. I also love that I can storage stuff underneath it. I like the nude wood, although I would have preferred bamboo.

Inferior design to FjellseAnonymousLooking at the instructions, I can see that once assembled, the bed can’t be disassembled for transport without damaging the wood. Fjellse had very sturdy sides that didn’t flea and require a centre support. Each side was held in place using four metal screws with metal barrel washers which made disassembly for transport extremely easy. This New Neiden is a perfect example of going backwards.
Amazing Value and Service!AnonymousI have bought this bed twice, two years apart. The worst part of assembly the first time was that the included Allen key hurt my hand. Two years later, they have developed and included a handle that works for two different sizes of Allen keys and makes assembly so much easier. For a 50 dollar bed!!!!! Amazing company, and amazingly designed bedframe. The frame isn't amazing but does it's job well for FIFTY BUCKS!!!! That's incredible.

Dangerous: frame brokeAnonymousThis bed broke when I sat on it (normal use, no excessive force). It broke along the main side piece where there was a large knot in the wood. I was holding my baby at the time and am grateful that neither of us was hurt. I have just contacted Ikea and am awaiting a resolution.
Neiden bed frameAnonymousI purchased two for my cottage and just put them together. I love Ikea products and always have had great success. Unfortunately this time I had issues with both bed frames but was able to fix them. Some people may have not been able to fix the issues. I was missing screws for the first one and had to re-drill to realign the headboard cross bar. All turned out well and I like Ikea. First time that I've ever had any issues.
