This spacious microwave has 3 cooking programs and doubles as an extractor hood, allowing you to save precious countertop space. The LED lighting strip effectively lights up the cooktop underneath.

Extra large inner dimensions ensure you have plenty of room for the food you want to cook.

With Cook program specific times and cooking power have been preset for certain foods, so you can easily select suitable settings for the right type of food.

Make perfect popcorn or bake delicious potatoes using the special preset functions that will adapt the time and right temperature automatically.

The multi-stage cook option allows you to program power levels and cooking times in advance. For example, to cook food at 80% power for 3 minutes and then 50% power for 6 minutes.

The multi-stage cook option makes it easy to follow microwave recipes. Max. 2 stages can be pre-set.

LED interior microwave light stays on while your dish cooks.

The included LED strip effectively illuminates the cooking surface.

Medelniva MicrowaveRogerI bought this microwave as a replacement for an Ikea/Whirlpool over the range unit that died after about 13 years of good performance. The new Medelniva unit is really a step down from it's precursor. It is very "tinny" and noisy to open and close the door. It requires "cooling periods" between periods of longer cooking or re-heating, and when a heating cycle is finished the signal is loud and piercing. The programming controls are rather unusual in that pressing a time button e. g. 5 which would normally be 5.00 mins is actually only 5 seconds, requiring me to press the zero button twice before hitting start. When a power setting is selected, it does not show at any time in the display, which is a bit disconcerting at times. The exhaust fans are much less powerful than my previous unit. These are just a few of the things I have noticed when compared to the precursor unit.2

The beeping is a little loud on its quietest setting and the under mount light is whiter than I would prefer but is nice and bright and overall the microwave and fan both work well and are relatively quiet. This is our second ikea microwave, our other one in our rental home is still going strong after 3 years.5
