Care

The glass part is dishwasher-safe. The lid should be washed by hand.

Clean the stopper after each use and leave it to dry before next use.

The stopper should not be in constant contact with any liquid.

Smelly cork JaspreetAm I the only one who is having issues with the cork smell? I bought two bottles with cork lids. Both the corks have a very disgusting smell. So much so that we can’t even drink the water from it without “tasting” that smell. I really hoped they sold replacement lids, made out of a different material. 2

Material

What is cork?

Cork comes from cork oak bark which is carefully cut from the tree’s trunk. It then takes about nine years until the tree forms new bark that can be harvested. Since a cork oak can live to be aged 150-200, each one produces a lot of cork during its lifetime. Cork has several good qualities as a material: it’s lightweight, flexible, waterproof and naturally resists fire. The cork we use in furniture and accessories is made from cork waste that’s compressed into larger pieces.
