  • To be completed with a slatted bed base or mattress base.

Sometimes the mattress has a noticeable smell when you open the packaging. The smell isn’t harmful or toxic and disappears over time. Airing and vacuuming the mattress helps to eliminate the smell faster.

All of our mattresses can be used immediately, but keep in mind that a packaged mattress only regains its full shape and comfort after approximately 72 hours. Your body also needs a couple of weeks to adapt to the new mattress.

Ratings and reviews

Good quality for the priceCHI W.Good quality for the price only the side don't have enough support if sitting on it ....5
SturdySHELBY E.Bought one of these queens about 6 years ago, great price. Real firm. It might have softened up a little but it’s still extremely supportive. Good for stomach sleeping. I let my mom use it when she stays over and I think she likes it more than I do. I still really like it. I just hate how chunky it is. It’s so thicc. Great that it doesn’t need a box spring but I have moved like 8 times since I got it and this thing is so heavy and awkward to move. There are loops on the side you can use to carry it but they’re on the long sides so they’re useless to help move it.4

The mattress if way firmerPhilippeThe mattress if way firmer than in the store.1
very comfy bedG DyerThis has been a very comfortable mattress, best I've slept on in years. My biggest issue was the off-gassing. It took 2 months to reach the point of using it without irritation.4
Good, for about a year.jsc004In the beginning I thought the mattress was okay -- a little firm for me but good for my husband. A year later I noticed the sag. Two human sized divots where we spend most of the night. To be clear, we're not big people: I weigh about 135 lbs/ 65 kg; my husband about 155lbs / 77kg. Very disappointing.2
Asia8We went to IKEA to get a mattress because we didn't want to deal with salesmen and all the upsells. We chose the Hesstun because of it's higher price point (and hopefully quality) but it ended up being a terrible mattress. First, the IKEA delivery men didn't take the King mattress up the stairs, so keep that in mind. We hauled the floppy thing up ourselves. The moment you lie down on the mattress it feels like heaven, but I had back pain the first night. Over the next week, it got progressively worse to the point I couldn't walk upright. We got the medium firm, but the combination of the Eurotop and memory foam on top of the coils makes this a very soft mattress. There is no support. Happily, IKEA is taking it back, and we went to Sleep Country to get a replacement. After lying on the more expensive mattresses and looking at their construction, I understand quality and innovation. The lesson is, don't cheap out on a mattress–your quality of life really depends on it. Honestly, I am so disappointed in IKEA and this product.1
Weird LumpsNick321I bought this mattress about three years ago (the medium firm) and a few months after purchase I noticed the end started to flatten out. Now you can feel a sort of slope where your feet go and there is a protrusion at the end of the mattress where the displaced padding from the foot area now is. The mattress itself is quite comfy though as long as the lump thing doesn't happen anywhere else.3
Unsure on this new mattress, dips in middleMumma4This king mattress has only been in use for a month but has a huge dip in the middle that is not only physically noticeable but obviously visually noticeable even with bedding on top. Otherwise fairly comfortable. Not sure if this is defective? I probably need to discuss with IKEA but my last call to customer service number was nearly a 3 hour hold to talk to someone who then accidentally hung up on me before resolving the issue.3
Sleepy88The mattress had a very strong chemical odour to it that lasted for several weeks. We called to enquire about it, and was told that that was a common complaint. The advice was to vacuum it which we did extensively. The smell remained and is still there but very faint now. The edges of the mattress are very soft, which makes it awkward to sit on.2
AmazingTiarag13Bed is so comfortable I love it! Solved all my back problems! But kind of u happy with the fact that where it’s stitched on the little circles it’s ripped, spending all this money it should be a little bit more durable. My last mattress I had for 13 years and it’s still all in tact no rips.. maybe this is a defective mattress. For tht I didn’t give a five star. But it is a five star for comfort.4
Love itKer1383Happy I bought it! Very comfortable and soft5
Very comfortableAndreeAnneI totally recommand this mattress, bought it a month ago and we love it!5
The mattress that will break in 12 months.Mateo233We bought this FIRM mattress in March 2017. We were super happy when we got it, it was cozy and firm like we needed it, it was perfectly firm. Fast-forward a year and its really sinking in the middle, after a year and a half, I have the worst chronic back pains I've ever had in my life. I'm only 27 years old with a weight of 180lbs. It hurts my back and my hip, I've been thinking for years it might be my posture but I've concluded its the bed, this is insane how just after a year, the sides were already buldging outwards, if you sit on the edge you will sink 10, its a bit ridiculous, not what anyone should be hoping for after paying over 1100$. They got me when I read the warranty of 25 years, we'll see if that even works. I just went to a friends house and he showed me a mattress he got somewhere else and that is when I realised, it's my mattress that has a caving middle and doesn't support my back. My butt sinks too much and the bed is way too soft even though we specificly got the Firm mattress, it a pretty mattress to look at with no bed sheets, but its not plesant to sleep on.1
Great mattressScanTechWe have had our for at least 15 years and is still in great shape and I’m 225lbs5
