New Couchantay2I recently spent a lot of time on the Ikea website picking out a couch. I love white but have a lot of animals so I definitely need a slip covered couch. I picked this couch thinking I could easily clean the slipcovers. Unfortunately the arms and the back of the couch are going to be very difficult to wash because the entire couch has to be taken apart in order to take the arm and back covers off, which is impossible for one person. The instructions for assembling the chaise and the sofa section were clear and straightforward. However joining the two pieces was almost impossible. We had 4 or 5 small pieces of hardware and it was almost an hour before we figured it out. I think there should be instructions included for joining the pieces. We live 4 hours from the nearest Ikea so having it assembled was out of the question. Also the sofa section has holes for legs but there were none included. It seems like a lot of weight for the bolts joining the pieces. And finally, the chaise cushion is significantly higher than the sofa cushions. On a positive note the couch is beautiful and I do love the deep seats.2
