Product details

Frames in different sizes; allows you to create a solution to suit the size of your TV.

You can choose to stand the TV bench on the floor or mount it on the wall to free up floor space.

The cable outlet at the top lets cords run down smoothly into the TV bench.

Adjustable feet make the TV bench stand evenly on an uneven floor.

A floor-standing TV bench must be fixed to the wall with the included wall fasteners. The same fasteners should be used if you mount the TV bench on a wall, yet BESTÅ suspension rail must not be used.

We recommend a TV bench to be a bit wider than the TV placed on it. This TV bench suits a TV up to 72 inches. You can choose a larger TV if it’s not heavier than the specified max load for the bench’s top.

The top panel of the TV bench is intended for a TV with a maximum weight of 50 kg.

The max. load for a wall-hung TV bench depends on the wall material.

Different wall materials require different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for the walls in your home.

181 cm wide TV benches require 8 legs or 4 legs and 2 BESTÅ supporting leg.

Great looking product. BUT! ItTomasGreat looking product. BUT! It should be indicated that if you put your audio video, you need all 8 legs, otherwise it will sink down under the weight of components and TV. It is not sturdy enough.4
Looks great and beautiful ,JolaLooks great and beautiful , I love it.5
It would be great ifRajIt would be great if it has doors4
Besta da bestAllanEasy to assemble. Oddly, there are no holes on the bottom plate of the frame for the recommended center support. There are, however, a pair of holes front and back with threaded receptacles for the same type of legs used at the corners - so the cabinet will make use of 6 legs rather than 4. Looks very good when assembled this way. One negative note - the twist-cams which hold the pegs in place when marine sides to base and top of the frame are now made of plastic rather than cast metal - long term durability unknown5
Great product. Would be goodRonGreat product. Would be good if there was option to get without the cut out opening for cables4
Great starter for a big TVPeterIt's nice you can get just the base unit and later on buy the additional parts to expand on it.5
So complicated to assembled, evenGENEVIEVESo complicated to assembled, even when you're vigilant. Any mistake cannot be undone. However, very sturdy product, and nice looking.4

Great piece.ANNGreat piece.5
Overall okay but...rk315I recently bought this tv bench, but the first one that I got had some defects on the top panel. I returned it and got a new one. Unfortunately, I found that the second tv bench also has a defect on the top panel once I fully assembled it (including installing the doors). I contacted IKEA through their live chat but unfortunately the customer service representative I spoke to said that taking the furniture to the store is the only way to get a refund. I cannot disassemble the top panel because the doors are already installed, and I also cannot have the TV bench fit in my car because it's too big. Overall, the tv bench is budget-friendly and I like the way it looks in my living room. If you are thinking about getting this item, make sure you inspect each piece very carefully (especially the top panel!).2
Good luck attaching it to the wallpajarito22This bench does not use rails. So there are 4 spots that you have to use to attach to the wall. They are not 16 inches apart so there is no way to align them to studs. You can only do 1 stud and then you have to fix the rest to the drywall. I had to return it because it was not good enough for me.1
Perfect fort tvNothing elseGreat quality good product5
GoudayVery good value recommend to all5
TMAYJust purchased the wall rails for this bench but can't locate the proper hardware for installation. I have several brackets (with large holes) installed on the back of bench but no other Hardware to hang on the rails. Anyone else who has installed this bench on the wall have any advice?5
Great TV StandPtanThis is the first piece of furniture that we built in our new apartment. It's very sturdy. We've used it to build other furniture and a store items as we moved in. We did purchase the doors for this unit but could not attach them because the hinges were sold out and still sold out. So slightly disappointed by that.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA we believe that sourced in a responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light and resource-efficient, yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
