5 pantry storage tips for your kitchen

01-Feb-2018
Arrange your kitchen pantry with these five storage tips so you can spend less, waste less, stress less...and have more time around the table.
IKEA MA white kitchen pantry drawer can keep your cans, tins, and spices organised, while VARIERA white plastic baskets hold oils, tall bottles and more.
The pantry door can be kitchen storage space for lightweight items. Use white IKEA PLUTT self-adhesive plastic hooks and RIKTIG silver clips inside the door to hang nuts, dry sauce packs, and your grocery list.
1. Store on the door. Put snacks and sauce packets front and center with hooks and clips so they don’t get lost. Hang your grocery list on the door to stick to your weekly meal plan. You can even write names (and reminders) on the hook plaques so everyone has their own snack space.
IKEA VARIERA smooth white plastic boxes are no-spill solutions for tall oil bottles and sauces, with handles that are easy to grab. Group condiments together for an organised and spill-proof pantry.
Use IKEA RISATORP white steel mesh storage baskets to arrange food by mealtime or by allergy. The mesh ventilates food to stay fresh longer, and is easy to grab by its wooden handle.
2. Group and go. Use baskets to keep tall bottles like oils and sauces together — and to protect the pantry from spills. Organize baskets by mealtime so you don’t have to hunt for ingredients, or gather “friendly foods” together for anyone with allergies.
Insert IKEA MA white drawers with UTRUSTA white drawer fronts to see and reach the back with ease. Place VARIERA dividers with rubber grips so jars and spices stay in place.
3. Pull and pick. See all your cans, spreads, and spices with one glance by installing a pantry drawer. You’ll be able to reach the very back with ease — and avoid silly stacking games. Use drawer inserts or dividers to keep the cans in place.
IKEA VARIERA white coated steel shelf insert and OBSERVATÖR metal clip-on basket are no-drill solutions that create more pantry shelving space for jams, jars, and bottles of different sizes.
4. Put a shelf on it. Use shelf inserts to create extra levels for jars and other items with varying heights. A clip-on basket also maximises pantry space, and you can place flatter foods like tortillas and noodle packs underneath it.
IKEA 365+ dry food jar containers are BPA free and made of clear arcylic plastic so you can see oat, biscuit, and cereal supply. The rubber tops make the containers easy to grip and pull out from the pantry.
5. See through storage. Clear containers show exactly how much you have so you can plan your grocery runs better, avoid overspending, and waste less food. Label each container if you want, and tape on the expiration dates so you will know when it’s time to restock.
We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
