Product details

Children need space in their room to play and do homework – and sleep, of course. With a loft bed you can solve all of this in an area of just 2 m2.

You can use the space under the bed for storage, a workspace or seating.

A good solution where space is limited.

It’s easier to get in and out of the bed with a centered ladder.

Love this bed MoniqueGreat bed looks amazing sturdy great price fast delivery cheap deliver super hard to put together my husband who is an engineer couldn’t believe how hard it was took him 2 hours but it looks fabulous 5
Excellent bed for the moneyDavidI bought this bed 6 months ago and it's still going strong. I see a lot of the reviews saying this is a difficult build but I don't remember it being particularly painful and I put it together alone. My only comment is pay attention to the height. Now my daughter is growing up the distance to the ceiling is becoming an issue.5
Hard to assembleJackieDue to the fabric having to have no give whatsoever, it makes this bed extremely difficult to assemble. It took 5 hours for two of us to assemble this bed and disassembling the bolts are tricky once you have tightened them up. I do not believe we would be able to easily dissassemble this product. The other issue is the fabric is prone to causing carpet burn due to the synthetic quality.2
It’s ok but needs workMattThe way they engineered this bed is bad but if you have strength and you don’t mind it creaking or wobbling it’s fine2
DO NOT BUYAnonymous reviewerThis has to be the WORST product ever. It took over 7 hours to build, two lots of friends. you cannot do it on your own. it is super hard. The material has absolutely no give. You need to have muscles. literally buy any other loft bed - not this one!1
Hardest thing to build...but great bed!GregI've been building IKEA furniture for over 20 years and I've seen some shockers. This one is by far the hardest to build. The netting...don't get me started! (I have a guide on youtube describing the issue so I'm not going to say it here) Pro Tips before buying this: You will need lots of room to flip the bed. You will need a pair of pliers to help you with the netting if your finger strength is not enough. You will need to stretch the netting ALOT and you will need to do it so that everything fits. DO NOT over-tighten the bolts or you will strip the screw treads. Pro: So much free space now! Also very nice looking and sturdy. Con: The build was ridiculously hard. Takes 2-3 people to build.1
Extremely hard to put togetherEllyThe netting is extremely tight and took over 5+ hrs to build the bed between 3 people was absolutely ridiculous, would not recommend at all. We had to cut parts just so the fabric would fit and the screws were a total pain. Other than that it’s a sturdy bed.2
AwesomeHeatherGreat bed, sturdy and solid5
Unnecessarily difficult to buildTimWould never purchase again, needlessly complicated as screw system and the netting is incredibly difficult to put on. A bunk bed of this size would normally take me no more than 30 minutes to assemble, this took hours.1
Kids love itSarahWas a bit hard to put together, but end product is good, has increased space in the kids bedroom.5
Great bed but difficult to put togetherMirandaIt's a great bed but the fabric parts are so tight to fit that it's terribly hard to put together, especially the one underneath the bed.3
Extremely Annoying to Assemble.SamanthaStructurally this seems fine so far, but assembly is a huge pain. This bed is ideal for small rooms, but it requires being able to turn it on its side to safely assemble it, which won't be possible in a small room. The net over the frame is also extremely annoying to put on, and I had to cut parts of it because the holes didn't line up with the frame. The ladder is also centered on the side of the frame, making putting a desk and chair under this a potential issue, however with a smaller desk it shouldn't be a problem. Check the measurements of the thing you want to keep under it to be certain. Further, the ladder doesn't feel very stable. On a carpet it has some movement no matter how tightly you screw in the screws. I plan to secure it down better at some point. With those issues aside, this seems an excellent way to save space in a small room on a budget. The weight limit is a concern if an adult plans to sleep on this, so keep it in mind.4
It was so difficult toDaleIt was so difficult to put together took 2 of us nearly 8hrs it was crazy4
The instructions were not usefulDavidThe instructions were not useful at all.3
Great bedLaurenBed looks great. It’s strong and I was able to fit so much underneath. Only issue with assembly is ensuring not to tighten the screws all the way. The step with the netting was also very tight. Made it difficult to attach screws.4
Looks awesome!JustineThe loft is great. It looks really good in the bedroom and saves so much space being able to store stuff underneath. The assembly was a little tricky. Ended up having to do the some parts at least twice over! Instructions aren’t great! But very happy once it was together!5
Good value for moneyClaudiaGood value for money5
Bunk Bed for 7 year old.MariaShe loves her bunk bed and the large desk under. There is not very much claerance to the 2400mm ceiling.5

TUFFING Loft bed frame, dark grey, Single

A bed for new perspectives

Life is pretty good here at the top of the bed. Teasing younger siblings can be kept at a distance, and when mum or dad says good night, the height is just perfect for a hug. Both bunk beds and loft beds are good choices when you want to create more space in a smaller area. With TUFFING, we also managed to make more bed from less material.

We made TUFFING bunk bed and loft bed of stable steel and mesh fabric, and somewhat lower than other bunk beds. It means less use of material and that each bed weighs less to transport.

Kids don’t think about safety, so we do

By centering the ladder, the loft bed became more stable. The ladder also serves as a guard rail for the bunk bed – because children’s beds should be safe places, no matter if you are in the middle of play or deep in the world of dreams. That is why our children’s beds undergo rigorous furniture tests. The industry’s safety standards are very strict, but we take it further. When working with TUFFING, we focused especially on avoiding gaps and openings where small hands and feet can easily get stuck. When we had a model of the bed, it underwent two weeks of intense fatigue tests where the bed frame was continuously exposed to strong forces.

A place for kids to recharge

Throughout the design process we took part in research results from Dr Barbie Clarke, a child psychologist with many years of experience in research about children and their development. She explains the role of the bed: “When we do global research, the children we interview often say that their bed is their favourite part of the home. It is something they can call their own; ‘This is mine, my space’. Even if they share a lot of other things, the bed is often a private area that helps them work out who they are, rest and recharge.”

Material

What is steel?

Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.
