Product details

Have a seat and stay a while - the friendly, embracing curves and flexy material make this chair nice and comfy.

No tools are required to assemble the chair, you just click it together with a simple mechanism under the seat.

The wood fibre/plastic composite material gives the chair a textured, matte surface that is soft and inviting to the touch.

Viewed from afar, the wood fibres blend into the surface, up close they become an interesting design feature that catches the eye.

This chair has been tested for home use and meets the requirements for durability and safety, set forth in the following standards: EN 12520 and EN 1022.

Comfortable. A good buyKatieThe person in Ikea helped me look these. I was heart set on something wood as I didn’t want plastic but they are salvaged plastic and they are really comfortable. Happy with them!5

Great ChairHeidiAs it appears online. Easy assembly. Comfortable - have had comments on how comfortable it is. We wanted simple and affordable dining chairs to go with a black dining table. These look sleek and simple. Liked that they are made from recycled materials. Only request would be more colours.5

Designer thoughts

"When we designed ODGER chair we were inspired by both ski boots and pie dishes with removable bottoms. The reason was that we wanted to find a way to quickly and easily fix the legs to the seat and backrest. In the end, the solution was a simple click mechanism. Another innovation is that the material is a mix of renewable wood and recycled plastic. The result is a chair with true, clean lines ‒ which is also very comfortable to sit on thanks to the bowl-shaped seat and the rounded backrest."
