Need to fix the internal drawer height GrantAs per the other review submitted nearly 5 years ago nothing seems to have changed. The unit is solid and ticks all the boxes but the most important thing is designed poorly. The drawers are next to useless to store anything of significance given the height of the inner frame at the rear of each drawer, things just fall out the back . I am very surprised there isnt more feedback on this as its such a simple thing they can fix and for the price, they should be onto it immediately1

Lockable and excellent sizeGayleI purchased this for my daughters art supplies and it is absolutely perfect to fit in the sketch pads, pencils, paints, everything. It's also code locked, so it keeps smaller hands from getting into it and creating mischief and mess.5
Good product but not usefulAnonymousGreat outlook, easy to assemble, tough. But after all these work, found the inner wall of each drawer compartment too shallow, 50% of the inner space is lost. If you insist to put few more books or items they will fall into the bottom of the unit. The only idea for me is to build a fence into each drawer compartment so that I can put more stuffs. My question to IKEA is which genius came to this idea to build something so cool so simple but doesn't do the work?2

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
