Product details

Wireless smart blinds darken your bedroom with a push on the remote control – and you won’t have your sleep disturbed by moonlight or be woken by the sun when you want to sleep in late.

By connecting this product to DIRIGERA hub, you get more out of it and can also control it, together with other smart products, in the IKEA Home smart app.

You can use DIRIGERA hub and IKEA Home smart app to control your wireless blinds in different ways, set them to go up and down with a timer and create several groups of wireless blinds.

The blind comes pre-paired with the remote control and the signal repeater.

For the blinds wireless functions to work, the signal repeater (included in the package) needs to be plugged in to a power socket within 10 meters from the blind.

The blind is cordless for increased child safety.

BRAUNIT battery pack is the power source to your wireless roller blind.

No need to change fittings or drill new holes if you change your blinds. The wall/ceiling brackets included in the package are suitable for TRETUR, FYRTUR and KADRILJ roller blinds

Blinds BrilliantgraceI love these! So easy to use and a reasonable price unlike other companies that want triple the price. The only negative is the setup of the remote was not very clear and precise of what needed to be done. It took 3 of us and Youtube to get it right.5
works really welldamienworks really well5
One of my fav Ikea productsKirthanaHave this through the house. Windows here in AU seem to have differing widths, so 2 of the windows get perfectly covered, while for 2 others, there is a small gap on the side. If you're not after 100% blackout, then this is a great buy, and cheaper than customised motorised blinds.5
Not recommendedAfshin N.These blinds are extremely difficult to pair and set up. I bought two and none of them were paired. The instructions are wrong and I had to go to Youtube to get them paired. But the main problem is you have to have the repeater powered on at all times for the remote to operate. These repeaters are similar to a house routers and their standby power usage is 7 watts, 24 hours. This is equivalent on an average LED light bulb being turned on permanently for each blind. This is not good for our environment and it is irrisponsible to be selling them as most people would not be aware of the impact, never mind their increased power bills particularly if you have more than one installed. If you are happy to live with that, it works well and look great. I returned mine.1
Easy to assemble and looksMuh G.Easy to assemble and looks great! A little pricy.5
Best quality blindBrabhu H.Need with 140 cm width5
Works great as a blackout.VitorWorks great as a blackout. In some situations, it can be annoying if there is no matching width for your window as the sides will be left uncovered.5

Product is awesomeSarahThe product is awesome, meets my expectations. I now automated its open&close, can totally forget about it. Unless I want to close it to watch TV during the day, then I can ask Siri. :) (Although I do miss the moment when I open the curtain a little) To pair the gateway and phone and button is very annoying, the instruction manual wasn't very clear. Took me a while to figure out, 4 clicks on the button behind the remote means reset, and wait for the red light to be gone (it will be flash...gone, wait, flash...gone) then pair. When pair, hold the little button behind the remote, when red light keeps shining and the other receiver light is blinking, it's paired. If anything didn't work, reset the button, and try again. Hope it helps...5

Excellent product, easy to installUdeniExcellent product, easy to install and value for money5
Pretty good blindStevePleasantly surprised for the price point. It didn't fit in my window but only took about 30mins to disassemble and resize for that custom fit. You don't need the Ikea hub if you already have Smartthings or a Hue hub it will pair perfectly with one of them.5
Sizes are not ideal for most Aussie homesPrashulThe quality of the item and it’s build is really good. However it seems to be introduced in haste by Ikea as it comes in standard sizes which may fit US homes. They come in 600, 800, 1000, 1200,1400 sizes. Most windows even if you want to use multiple units need atleast a 900mm size. Windows here are typically 600, 900, 1800,2700 mm sizes. And if even if you had multiples of 900 it would be more luxurious to get some custom blinds at that price point.1
Great blinds, I have threePamGreat blinds, I have three linked to the one remote too (which was easy to do), now putting the blinds up or down, or to whatever height needed is quick and easy.5

Great, please make more smart home productsEmo8Happy with the features this wireless roller blind has. No AC outlet needed, less wiring.5

Our take on polyester

Polyester is a durable, wrinkle-resistant and easy-care material that is ideal for many home furnishing products like rugs, pillows, quilts and cushions. The downside to virgin polyester is that it is made from oil, coal or natural gas. This means that when we use virgin polyester, we are exhausting the planet’s natural resources. Our response to this, is to replace all virgin polyester with recycled in our products. In 2020, we achieved the milestone of replacing 79% of the virgin polyester used in IKEA textile products and will accelerate the transformation towards the aim of only using recycled polyester throughout the product range where polyester is used.

Virgin vs recycled polyester

Originally, all polyester was made from oil-based raw materials which are not renewable but we are switching to only using recycled polyester. The good thing is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without negatively affecting the quality of our products. When we make products from recycled polyester, we give a second life to material that is not biodegradable and reduce the amount that may otherwise end up in landfill or the ocean. Instead, PET and other sources of polyester are used to make textiles, storage boxes, kitchen fronts and even lamps. Recycled polyester is just as good as virgin polyester in terms of looks, quality and function, and produces about 50% less in CO2 emissions. And the material is just as clean and safe in every way.

Some challenges with recycled polyester

Recycled polyester makes us less dependent on oil. The amount we convert, is equal to the amount of virgin fossil fuel we eliminate from our polyester raw material (this excludes potential dyeing and other post recycled polyester production treatments). With some exceptions, the challenge is not the conversion of polyester into recycled itself, but to make it available to everyone by keeping it affordable. Buying low environmental impact products often comes with a higher price tag. We want to change that by working to make recycled polyester products more affordable and accessible to the many people.

Only recycled polyester

IKEA is committed to end the dependency on virgin fossil materials and only use renewable or recycled materials by 2030. We are accelerating this movement for polyester in our range and aim to replace all virgin polyester in our textile products with recycled. In 2020, IKEA replaced 79% of the virgin polyester used in IKEA textile products with recycled polyester. In volume, this means we converted 130,000 metric tonnes of recycled polyester, and saved 200,000 tonnes of virign polyester. We haven’t reached our 100% goal yet, but we have come far and overcome many obstacles on the way. These volumes make us a leader in converting to recycled polyester and we hope that our decisions can inspire and motivate whole industries to change.

Responsible sourcing

At IKEA, we demand that all recycled polyester used in IKEA products shall come from recyclers that are compliant with the Global Recycled Standard and traceability is secured to the IKEA product through requirements toward the IKEA Suppliers. By only using recycled polyester that meets the Global Recycled Standards we manage to secure social, environmental and chemical practices at the recycler’s production. We believe that the GRS standard is the best standard on the market today. We work with our partners and textile organisations such as Textile Exchange to further improve standards on recycled materials, including traceability of material beyond the recycling units.
