The speaker is a collaboration between IKEA and Sonos, so it easily integrates with other products from Sonos.

SYMFONISK WiFi speaker allows you to stream music, radio and podcasts from your network and streaming services.

Supports all of the major music streaming subscription services.

Use the speaker as a shelf by mounting it on the wall with SYMFONISK speaker bracket, sold separately.

Hang the speaker on KUNGFORS rail or rack by using the SYMFONISK speaker hooks, sold separately.

You can control each speaker individually, so you can play music in one room while the children are listening to an audiobook in another one, or play the same sound throughout the home.

Compatible with Airplay 2 so you can stream audio directly from your Apple devices.

You can stream music, podcasts and radio via WiFi without interruptions from phone calls or notifications. The music keeps playing even when your phone or tablet is not around.

If you want stereo sound, you can buy two identical speakers.

You can use two identical speakers as rear speakers for a Sonos home theatre system.

Decorate your home with sound

You might think IKEA and Sonos are companies with completely different cultures, values and customers. But when we created SYMFONISK WiFi bookshelf speaker together, we realised we have a lot in common, for example a will to make people’s everyday better and simpler.

“We connected right away”, says Björn Block from IKEA, part of the team that went knocking on Sonos’ door. The shared values make the partnership easier, which isn’t to say it’s without challenges.

A creative mix

“There’s always a tension when you are two likeminded organisations, that still have different point of views regarding the final execution”, says Patrick Murray, Senior Director Global Business Development at Sonos. But, friction is also part of the process. “We challenge and stretch each other – and in the end, great things happen. Sometimes 1 plus 1 definitely equals 3”, says Patrick.

A booming result

SYMFONISK WiFi bookshelf speaker is one of the products from the collaboration. It can be mounted on the wall – or stand – horizontally and vertically, and works just as great tucked away or as a centrepiece in the room. And it’s as simple to use as the rest of the Sonos family.
