Everyday quality is very important to IKEA. We have warranties on several of our products including flooring, beds, mattresses, kitchen cabinets and more.
The IKEA Everyday Quality Limited Warranties last for the number of years stated in the specific text for each product, starting from the date of purchase. The limited warranties are valid from the original date of purchase of the product. In order to rely on this limited warranty, the original receipt is required as proof of purchase by the original purchaser.
What will IKEA do to correct the problem?
IKEA will examine the product and decide, at its sole discretion, if it's covered under the limited warranty. IKEA will then, under its sole discretion, either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or comparable product. In these cases, IKEA will pay the costs of the repairs, spare parts, labor and travel for repair staff the will incur, provided that the product is accessible for repair without special expenditure. This does not apply to any repair work not authorized by IKEA. Replaced parts become the property of IKEA or Whirlpool. If the item is no longer sold by IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement. It is IKEA that, in its sole discretion, determines what constitutes an appropriate replacement.
