IKEA Twin Cities Social and Environmental Efforts

No More Disposable Bags!
IKEA no longer offers disposable plastic bags in our stores. Next time you visit us, please bring your own reusable bags or simply carry out your products. No worries, we still have our reusable blue bag for 59¢.

Why did IKEA do this? Because every small green step helps! According to the Environmental Protection Agency:
● The U.S. consumes over 380 billion plastic bags, sacks & wraps each year
● Each year, Americans throw away some 100 billion polyethylene plastic bags and less than 1% of them are recycled.
● The average plastic bags takes 1,000 years to photo degrade, which means they do not fully decompose.

So, we're saying no more. Join us with our efforts!
