Proposing a New Seattle-area Store – at the same location
IKEA has proposed building a newer and updated IKEA store at the same location to replace the existing Renton one that opened in 1994. (Click HERE for news release.)

This proposed on-site relocation will have improved access, shopping space, and parking, as well as an updated Restaurant to eat, Småland for customers’ children, and Self-Serve Furniture Area for inventorying your favorite items. We are excited about this opportunity to enhance the IKEA shopping experience for our Seattle-area customers. And, the City of Renton has expressed initial support too!

This new IKEA store could open as early as Fall 2016, but the current one will be open for business until then.
