IKEA Portland in Our Communty

IKEA Portland is donating $10,000 to a local community organization on the 10th of the month each month for 10-months leading up to our anniversary - July 25, 2017!
That's $100,000!

We've just completed a beautiful makeover at the Four Corners School in the Reynolds School District! An empty classroom became a colorful, creative, positive learning environment for kids grade K-8. We designed the space with comfort, engagement and socialization in mind. More than 75 students and staff will now enjoy this space for years to come!

Our December donation was for the Oak Grove Boys & Girls Club. We transformed the Youth and Family Services Room at the Club which will be used by 250 kids, their families, teachers and staff!

October, November, December, January donations; February ?

Our first donation was $10,000 to the Oregon Food Bank.

Creating a Better Life in Portland
We've made Portland our home and over the years we've really tried to give back to our community. In celebration of our 10th year, we are going big! Please read through the guidelines below and apply if you feel your 501c3 organization fits the bill helping local kids, the environment or both! We're looking to tackle major projects quickly with our furniture and design expertise! $10,000 goes a long way at IKEA!

Our community support guidelines and application can be viewed on the link below. Due to the overwhelming number of donation requests, our giving is very focused. While we wish we could support all worthy organizations, we simply cannot. The guidelines and application will determine if your organization is a fit within our giving policy. Please understand that although your organization may fit one or more of the requirements, it is not a guarantee that your request will be honored.

IKEA Co-workers Making a Difference
Many of our IKEA Portland co-workers have been with us since we opened our doors in 2007. For our 10th year, we really wanted to give them the opportunity to give back, so we're doing something especially great: We're giving each of our more than 300 IKEA Portland co-workers 10-hours of paid time to volunteer in our community!

We know that together, we can help make a better Portland. Thank you for making IKEA Portland so welcome! We are proud to call Portland home.
