Giving Back
IKEA in the Community
At IKEA we believe the most important people in the world are children. That's why we've focused our efforts on making our community a better place for the children in it. This past year we've donated over $53,000 to local charities. We donated over $30,000 worth of funiture to Inn Vision Shelter Network, which contributred to home furnishing in three of their Silicon Valley temporary shelters.

During the Holiday season we run a Soft Toys for Education campaign and raised over $36,000 for UNICEF for children's education. We also encouraged customer to donate a soft toy to our local charities Job Train located in Menlo Park, and East Palo Alto Library for their Winter holiday events.

This year customers voted during our yearly Life Improvement Challenge, and Building Futures Now, an after school college track program located in East Palo Alto, was the lucky recipient of a makeover at their after school center. Our last campaign this fiscal year focused on raising funds for The Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties where we raised over $8,000 and enough to create over 16,000 meals in our community.

This are just a handful of the projects we've been working. We hope that you keep your eyes peeled while visiting us this upcoming holiday season and contribute a future campaign!

Thanks to you, these local charities will receive an IKEA makeover!
After weeks of your voting and support, this year’s IKEA Life Improvement Challenge winners have been chosen!

Click HERE for a complete list of winners who each won an IKEA makeover of a space that helps to improve the lives of others. The runners up will also receive an IKEA gift card as a token of our appreciation for participating in this year’s contest.

We would like to thank you again for your support of this year’s contest, and hope you vote again next time around! We know the charities certainly value your support.
