Bring the kids!
A visit to IKEA is fun for the whole family! We encourage you to bring the kids – they’ll love exploring our room sets or making new friends at Småland, our supervised play area.

Småland Our FREE supervised play area (located in the entrance lobby) is for children between the heights of 37-54" who are potty-trained (no pull-ups). Kids can play in this safe, imaginative environment for up to an hour!Småland closes 30 minutes before the store closes.

Play areas throughout the store (unsupervised)

• Capital Area Food Bank
• Maryland No Kid Hungry
• A Wider Circle

Below is a link for details regarding our community support guidelines. Due to the overwhelming number of donation requests received, our giving is very focused and while we wish we can support all worthy organizations, we simply cannot.

The guidelines and application will determine if your organization is a fit within our giving policy. Please understand that although your organization may fit one or more of the requirements, this is not a guarantee that your request will be honored.

Disaster Relief
IKEA donates care packages the American Red Cross National Capital Region
IKEA is committed to creating a better life for our communities. Recently, our co-workers across the country assembled care packages to help families through emergencies. The comfort care packages consist of everyday home items, such as: sheets, pillows, towels and toys to help families get back on their feet. We are proud to work proactively with the American Red Cross to provide safety and comfort to families when disaster strikes.
