Christmas Smörgåsbord
The Christmas Smörgåsbord is an institution within Swedish culinary tradition. Many Swedes look forward to it months ahead. There are so many things on the menu that everyone is sure to find at least something they like.

Traditionally, you start with the cold dishes such as herring and salmon, moving on to the iconic Christmas ham, meatballs and other warm dishes before rounding off with desserts and sweets and perhaps a glass of steaming hot mulled wine.

Join us on Friday, December 12, 2014 for a delicious all-you-can-eat Smorgasbord.

Solar panel installation
As part of our commitment to sustainability, IKEA has installed a solar energy system atop this store. The 140,300 square foot array consists of a 1,124-kW system, built with approximately 4,784 panels.

The IKEA Bolingbrook solar program will produce approximately 1,300,746 kWh of clean electricity annually - the equivalent of reducing 897 tons of carbon dioxide, eliminating the emissions of 176 cars or powering 112 homes yearly.
