| IKEA Group respects your concerns about the privacy of the personal information you provide to us. We also believe it is important to inform you about how we will use your personal data. Your agreement with the terms of this Privacy Notice signifies your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information for purposes related to your job application, as set forth below. Therefore, we encourage you to read this Privacy Notice carefully and to click agree if you understand and agree to the terms of this notice.
Scope of this Privacy Notice This Privacy Notice applies to all personal data provided by you in your job application, any subsequent information supplied by you in connection with your application and any information obtained from third parties such as prior employers, other references, credit agencies, security firms and other sources. IKEA will process such personal data in the recruiting process and also provide your application and personal data included therein to other companies within the IKEA Group of companies as well as external companies involved in the recruiting process. How does the application system work? Candidates can apply for a position within the IKEA Group anywhere in the world via an online application system, called Enterprise™. Candidates can apply for a specific vacancy, a student position or a position through the open applicant pool. Application information is stored in the central database of Enterprise™, which is located in the offices of our third party service provider in Reston, Virginia, in the United States of America. IKEA recruiters around the world will be able to match candidates with open vacancies within their parts of IKEA. How will we use your data? Your information will be used by one or more companies in the IKEA Group to assess your application, check references, verify your information and conduct security and other background checks and, potentially, to contact you about a position. If you are hired, your information may also be transferred to your IKEA employer’s HR systems for employment administration purposes. Who has access to your data? You should know that in the recruitment process your personal information might be transferred from your home country to other IKEA Group companies around the world. (European Union countries only: Some of those companies may be located outside the European Union and outside those countries approved by the European Union as having adequate data protection laws.) IKEA Group requires all of the companies within IKEA Group that have access to the information to treat this data as confidential and to seek to maintain its security. Only IKEA Group recruiters (and relevant managers) will have access to your data. Your personal data will be used solely by IKEA Group and will not be disclosed or sold to third parties, except that your data may be disclosed to the third party vendor that services the system and that requires access to the data within the system to provide its services. IKEA Group requires this company to adequately safeguard your personal data and not use it for any unauthorized purposes. This applies also to the services provided by our Corporate IT Department. Data access, correction or removal Once you have provided us with your personal data and your resume, you will be able to change this information by applying for another position or applying for a position through the open applicant pool. This process automatically updates your information in the Enterprise™ system. If you would like to obtain a copy of your information or, if you have not been offered a job position and want to remove your information from the database for any reason, you can do so by contacting us at the address below or notifying us via e-mail at eRecruitment.USA@memo.ikea.com IKEA Group is a global company and is established in several countries. If you have already applied to our organisation in another way your decision not to register now will not effect the applications that you have submitted before. Of course, you are also welcome in the future to submit a job application in a manner other than through this e-recruitment process. How long will IKEA Group keep your data? Personal data of any candidate applying for a job will generally be kept in Enterprise™ for twelve months (twenty-four months for California residents) after the last update performed by a candidate. If you apply for a particular job, you may choose whether you would like us to keep your data in Enterprise™ for twenty-four months after your latest update to remain available for other possible job opportunities. All candidates are encouraged to update their data when appropriate. Cookies Cookies may be used to ease site navigation for visitors and to facilitate efficient registration procedures.
