Dope... If you ever assembled anything Ikea beforeI only came to review this thing, cause there's a dude trolling the reviews that obviously has horrible assembly skills.
If you have the slightest carpentry skills, you can do major damage with IKEA and create custom pieces that 95% of the hard part is done for you (i.e. perfect cuts and hole placements). For the slightly skilled, Ikea is a pleasure to assemble.
If you have basic assembly skills (e.g. as a child, you managed to properly fit them different shape blocks into their respective slots) then IKEA assembly should easily be doable.
The main pitfall, is that most people have no clue on HOW LONG assembly should take...
These people have these unrealistic expectation of time requirements straight from the get go. They come in on a head, thinking like "oh this should be fairly quick"... NO...
Ever hear the saying "do you want it done quickly or do you want it done right?" ...
Problem being, if you have limited assembly experience, you shouldn't have ANY time expectation coming in... THIS will mess you up, and have you writing reviews on how "difficult IKEA assembly" is...
Let me summarize this and put this into perspective for anyone who's horrible at assembling things: *have someone who's the opposite of you do it.*
IF you still think IKEA assembly is too difficult, take a stab at building something similar from SCRATCH--your head would explode.
Bottom line is this: some people are good at certain things, and not good at others....
If you're writing reviews stating how extremely difficult putting together the EASIEST furniture assembly on the planet, then the problem is not IKEA, the problem is you.
There you go children... Know your limitation and focus your energy on things you're good at, and get others to help you out with things you're not.
Word is born....

Terrible buy!!!!!!!!!!My girlfriend got me this as an early birthday gift. It came in 18 different boxes. The drawers didn't fit and so she had to drive an hour again to the closest IKEA store to return them and get more shelves.
Although it is completely leveled, the glass door isn't even with the top. The 2 doors keep on hitting each other. But because it took us 5 hours to build it and we don't want to borrow someone's car again, it's too big to fit in our cars. We are just keeping it.
Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT buy this.
All you need to keep the area around the TV organized. You get lots of storage space and relief from unruly cords. Choose a ready-made combination or create your own. This is just one of many, many possibilities.
