Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Beech This countertop is stunning. Beautiful, ecologically sound, repairable and forgiving to dishes and glassware.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wood splits Installed one year ago. Followed directions. Looked great for a few months. The product is a butcher blocked glued plank. The glue splits. Only way to repair is fill and glue. Ruins the look. Not worth the cost.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Immediately Warped We used this countertop for our kitchen island, and it immediately warped and has only continued to get worse over the last year it was installed. I love how easy it is to maintain because of the hard wax (we have used the solid butcher block as well, and it hasn't aged as well. If not for the warping I would give this a 5 star.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from only a veneer Bought a beech butcher block countertop a few years ago and it was solid beech. Thought I was buying the same beech butcher block recently as an additional countertop in my kitchen expansion. When I got home and opened the box, the beech didn't at all match the original beech butcher block (the Ikea kitchen planner explained that it would) and the entire thing was filled with particle board. It's odd because the new crummy design was about the same price as solid wood design so I didn't even to think to question that this was not a butcher block. Had to go to Lumber Liquidators to find a solid butcher block that was about the same price as this. This is countertop is not going to last close to 100 years like a solid wood one will.
