Personal baskets
Even though hooks are a great idea, the kids’ clothes often seem to wind up on the floor, only to be picked up by you-know-who. Why not use gravity instead of trying to defy it by giving each kid a basket at floor height? Less work for them, less work for you. And putting the baskets on a low shelf will keep them in good shape and make cleaning easier.
