NEW YORK, NEW YORK, AUGUST 17, 2011 – In the second season of the A&E original series “Fix This Kitchen,” conspiring family members team with celebrity chef Eric Greenspan and designer Nicole Facciuto to surprise homeowners with complete kitchen makeovers fit for a gourmet cook. The six-episode half-hour series airs Saturdays beginning September 10 at 9:30am ET/PT as part of A&E’s Saturday morning lineup, The Big Fix.

All across America, there are household cooks who are frustrated by their kitchens. Stymied by insufficient counter space, unreliable appliances, poor layouts and other obstacles, these gourmet amateurs dream of new kitchens where they can unleash their culinary magic. Who better to help them out than a world-renowned chef? Each week in “Fix This Kitchen” celebrity chef Eric Greenspan and host Nicole Facciuto surprise frustrated household cooks and transform their outdated and inadequate kitchens into eye-catching, functional spaces worthy of a gourmet chef.

Nicole Facciuto brings her spirited on-camera presence to “Fix This Kitchen,” having already established her reputation as an on-air host and designer with appearances on ”Red Hot Green,” “She’s Moving In” and “House Wars.” Nicole is owner and principal of her design firm Nicole Facciuto Design which specializes in environmentally sustainable interiors.

“Most Buzzworthy Chef in America,” Eric Greenspan lends his quirky, off-the-beaten-track personality to the second season of “Fix This Kitchen.” Chef Greenspan has spent the better part of the last decade working his way through several top-rated restaurant kitchens-Bouley, Union Pacific, and Alain Ducasse to name a few- before landing his first high-profile chef’s job at Patina in Los Angeles. The opening of the award-winning restaurant, The Foundry, in 2007 fully established owner and executive chef Greenspan as a major player on the national food scene. Eric’s reputation extends to numerous appearances on food-related television and radio programs including a recent appearance on “Iron Chef America” where he defeated Bobby Flay.
